How ready are you for NCAA/NFL Football to get started?

NCAA: 10+. My alma mater has just joined the Big Ten and I cannot wait to see Nebraska vs all the new matchups.

NFL: meh. Oh, the poor players, they risk concussions as the owners exploit them for 3-5 years, they should be compensated more. Meanwhile: Dez Bryant.

Oklahoma State. Weeden2Blackmon Heisman Hype is already rolling.

Like some others have suggested, it is really 2 completely separate questions.

NCAA: 10. I love college football (Geaux Tigers!). The ups, the downs, the pain of a conference loss to a hated rival; seeing the most amazingly gut-wrenching games, seeing some kid shine on the national stage, etc.

NFL: maybe a 4. I like the NFL but if they lose a year I won’t miss it all that much.

(I didn’t vote in the poll.)

9 I don’t “do” major league baseball, and NCAA baseball and softball are over. Not a 10 because I appreciate a little down time.

I’m interested to see how the Cornhuskers do as well in the long run. Nebraska’s a similar type of team and will fit in well. I’m a Notre Dame fan, and don’t have much conference allegiance, but I’m from Big 12 country, and I was sorry to see them go.

The big 10 brought in Nebraska. That should provide an interesting element.
\ The pro game is many levels above college, but Nebraska will add to the interest this year.

I voted 10, only because that’s the highest number in the poll. NFL first (GEAUX SAINTS!), then the SEC, then all other major college conferences, then minor conferences, and sometimes even a high school game of the week on “ESPN God You’re Addicted to Football Channel”.

I don’t pay much attention to baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, or any other sport, but I love me some football. Can’t wait for the season.

I didn’t vote either, because of the (to me) unrelated questions:

NCAA football? 11.
NFL? 3 ish.

Not too eager. I only follow my mid-major college team closely and they hit the skids even as they built & opened a new on-campus stadium. New coach; rebuilding; will likely not win more than a few games but I hope to see some progress and upside potential. Now if you want to talk about the ‘other football,’ I’m quite anxious to watch the reigning national champs back in action!

You’re like the anti-me on this subject.

A 0 for College football, a 3 for the NFL. I like watching football, but have no attachment to the NFL or it’s teams and it’s basically option #3 for an evening of sports watching (#1 - NHL, #2 - CFL, #3 - NFL…). I prefer the CFL game anyways and that season has already started, so I’m getting my fix.
