How The Eff Do I Stop WMP11 From Autodownloading Album Art?

Damn thing won’t stop autodownloading album art for some songs (but not all or even most songs) and I don’t want it to.

Under Options --> Library “Retrive additional information from the internet” is not checked. So what does WMP think it’s doing?

EDIT: That should be WMP 12.

There is a whole bunch of other stuff you could try unchecking under the Privacy tab (on WMP 11, anyway).

Are you playing CD’s or compressed audio files? MP3’s can have album art in the ID tags.

Mp3 Tag Tools will batch remove them,

Winamp by song (great when TT misses one, missed album art always shows up for me as the folder icon).
