What has this man done since he has been in office? He has beaten the living fuck out of a pathetic little country at massive expense to our own and terrorist attacks are still continuing. I would bank on another one pre-November. I actually bet one of my friends 100 bucks there will be a terrorist attack in the US pre-election. It’s not like it’s fucking hard to get across the border? Can you get into Nicaragua? Because if you can, know how to drive a car several hundred miles and swim across a river (the Rio Grande) then you’re in.
Anyways, the economy sucks ass. More lost jobs than any administration since the Depression. What happened to our projected hundreds of billions surplus under Clinton? Gone, now we’re in an enormous budget crisis so we can smack up a weak ass country so Bush can say he did something.
Just talk to a college grad about the job market.
Environment? Hah. Right. Republicans don’t even try to pretend he cares about the environment. Our kids will know about 3 different types of animals, oh well, not like they’ll have the mental capacity to remember more since our education system is going to hell.
I’m a High School student, and I can vouch for how fucked our school is getting. I’m on a finance committee, we’re cutting teachers, sports, administrative positions, classes, you name it. I remember the good old days of getting elected in 6th grade. We were actually discussing what we wanted to spend our surplus that year on. Not how many kids said cut would fuck.
Let’s not forget about making every country in the goddamn world that doesn’t start with “United Kingdom” hate us.
Nice job with gas prices asshat.
If the draft gets reinstated I’ll be memorizing “O Canada”…Only difference between my military record and Bush’s would be that he wouldn’t have left the country to dodge service.
America will get what it wants/deserves if it votes Bush. I on the other hand am leaving no matter who wins (not only due to politics, though that is a good part of the reason).
If you’re a conservative who was supposed to be impressed that conservatives have now captured every single branch of government, I’m not sure why you’d be impressed.
-Social programs: funding increasing, programs extending
-Government size: Ballooning even faster than under the Democrats, research shows that, inexplicably, government size grows instead of shrinks under tax cut regimes, so much for starving the beast
-Abortion: still here, not clear its going anywhere even if the SC says so
-Gay marriage: too late, you already lost
-no more nation building: try two different nations already and counting
About the only thing that got done was blocking nationalized health care and getting welfare reform, and even that was co-opted by the democrats in many people’s mind.
Nah, but I am getting tired of people who quote long threads needlessly for a one sentence riposte of wit – those who don’t bother to edit the quote, thinking they are important enough to do such annoying transgressions.
Of all of it? Yes, of course, but then my definition of “it all” and yours might differ a touch;)
I am most definitely tired of drive-by posting, one-breath rants that purport to stand on their own (de)merit and folks who are blindly partisan. That’s one of the prices we pay for being here, though.
By the way, here’s how I vote for Bush. I go into a voting booth and vote for him. That’s how you vote for him. (Are you in Florida? Is is that hard to figure out?)
Eh, it harps on the tried but true ‘OMG TEH EKOMONY SUX!’, in the face of evidence to the contrary. It wants to run to Canada. It also seems to want some sort of gasoline price controls. If it smells like a lefty and drools like a lefty, its a lefty.
Lest I get sucked into a discussion of who does the most drooling around here, may I remind you that being disgusted with Bush hardly sets apart the left wing these days? Plenty of Republicans are disgusted with him, too, and for some of the same reasons mentioned by the OP.
Okay, I am 100% against Bush, but all these threads about “How can anyone still like Bush” and the sort are doing nothing but making the conservatives around here more determined to fight for him. If we do have some people sitting on the fence, we are not helping the cause at all by being so damn irritating.
I mean, shit, it’s annoying me and I agree with you (plural). It’s great to fight for what you believe in and open people’s eyes to What’s Going On (mother mother…). Just find something new to debate about…try to have a decent, grown-up conversation about this. The best way to win converts is to intellegently present your side. Enough of this childish bickering. The redundancy around here is insane.
