How the heck I'mma wash my neck?

It ain’t gonna rain no more!

I recently read that this song was originally published in the 1800s with over 90 verses. I know two.

A boy was sitting on a railroad track
His feet were full of blisters
Tore his pants on a rusty nail
And now he wears his sister’s

and

A peanut sat on a railroad track
His heart was all a-flutter
Along came the 4:15
Toot! Toot! Peanut butter.

Can anyone fill me in on the other 88 verses? I don’t think they all involve railroad tracks, do they?

Here’s a bunch

I remember the same two verses as Biggirl.

That’s nice and all but not as much fun as you telling me what verses YOU remember.

Mary had a little lamb,
Its fleece was black as soot
And everywhere that Mary went,
The sooty lamb put foot!

Also, the more risque version of the chorus is “how in the hell can the old folks tell if it ain’t gonna rain no more?”

Forgot this one!

Mama bought a brand new couch
it’s made of Naugahyde
And I’m sure glad I wasn’t there
when that poor Nauga died!

An apple sat on the railroad track
Feeling blue and cross
Along the line came Number Nine
Toot toot! Applesauce!

The way dad sang it:

A peanut sitting on a railroad track
His heart was all a-flutter
Old Number 10 came around the bend
Toot! Toot! Peanut butter.

.

A drunk stumbled out of the tavern
And down in the sewer he died;
The barkeep renamed the Tavern
“The Sewer-cide”

Ooooooh,
It ain’t gonna rain no mo’, no mo’, no mo’
No, it ain’t gonna rain no mo’!
How in the hell can the old folk tell
If it ain’t gonna rain no mo’?
