What’s more, they closed it, saying that they had more than enough, and that people should donate to charities instead.
Class act.

Are you looking at something else? The GoFundMe I’m seeing is at $780k and still open and accepting donations.
Turns out they own another donation site called Classy.
Renee Good’s GoFundMe was closed, not her murderer’s.
D’oh! I misread the line from @Duckster’s post that I quoted. Yes, I meant that Renee Good’s family has closed their GoFundMe.
Sorry.
In his own mind he is a hero, and he is definitely being treated as such on numerous sites and on GoFundMe. If there are stains he sure as fuck doesn’t see them.
How much of that money is going to go to Ross, and how much is going to Emmons as a “reasonable fee” for “organizing” it?
It’s grift all the way down.
I beg to differ.
Murder, killing another human is not a thing you forget or hide from.
When his wife or kid is abused or beat up because of his actions. When he can’t get another job or live anywhere safely, he’ll feel it.
I don’t know this guy. You don’t know this guy. So we are presuming, at best
He’ll feel it. In the wee hours and he’s wondering why his life is so bad, going shopping won’t make him feel better.
Money does not make you happy, for very long.
And $500,000 or a little more is not stupid rich.
And who knows he may end up in prison. His wife is Filipino. She’ll get deported when she has to divorce him.
I hope his cell mate in jail is very racist and hates any one with a past of working in LE. Jail won’t be pleasant. He’ll feel it then.
That’s just mean @Mighty_Mouse . I’ll never expect better from you.
I am, as I have had a gofundme done for me before.
You’re able to start withdrawing the funds almost immediately, as soon as you start getting donations, like within the first day or so, so no doubt he has already taken out a lot of the money by now. It won’t reflect that in the donation price, though, as even if he drains all the money that he was donated, it will still show the same amount on the front page of the GoFundMe obviously.
Yeah, I got emails saying that I could start getting the money out really fast… Not long after donations came rolling in. And every time more came in I could withdraw it almost immediately. @iiandyiiii can pretty much confirm this.
So he’s already made off like a bandit more than likely.

Thanks for the insider knowledge.

Yeah. Pathetic.
“Here I come to save the day!”

Whatever, some people have empathy only for evil people.
Are all narcissists evil?
I suppose people want to freely give their money to criminals. Would he ever be forced to give it back? I don’t know the rules, never having had a Gofundme.
What in the hell are you talking about?

I had a cousin that was narcisstic I think. Every thing was all about her. Always. Could she earn a dollar, no. But she was incredibly inteligent, fun to be with. But it was me, me, me all the time.
She was quite beautiful. Model beautiful. She did not take care of herself. I saw when she got carried out in a body bag. I was protecting her sister (my other cousin) from seeing that.
Are all narcissists evil?
Anecdotal, but I have met two narcissistic people (amateur diagnosis) but neither were evil. One was a compulsive liar but I considered him a friend, just ignored anything he told me as “fact”. I mean, he carried a passport sized photo of a “Russian Princess” in his wallet, apparently a former girlfriend. Very unlikely given the fact we lived in Zimbabwe at the time, not exactly known for the Russian Royalty Diaspora…
The other was a really cool guy, despite his massive ego. He is a very rich property lawyer. His ego did get him in shit when he became involved in a Ponzi scheme, in the early stages, but the scheme inevitably collapsed before he got out. He lost his massive 3 storey mansion, his long-term girlfriend and his law license…
