Most amusing part is that he forgot what the valve stem is called. 
Someone in the team car has been doing it for years. Of course he’d forget things. 
I’ve always inflated the new tube, deflated it, then inflated it again; to let it settle in smoothly. Also, I put some spit in the valve stems to be sure they don’t leak.
You’re not even kidding. The first guys I hung around with biking worked in bike stores, so I figured all bikers knew tons about the mechanics of bikes. Later I joined a road biking club and was surprised to find out some of the best riders couldn’t even adjust their brakes.
I’m kinda surprised anyone is getting him to shill for anything - some of my friends are pretty hostile to him after his entire debacle.
I would have thought that there was a faster way to cheat One’s way through that!
