One of the lovely things about my phone contract is the ability to tether. I just enable Internet Sharing on the phone and my ipad or laptop connect to the phone and thence to the internet. However, to get to Internet Sharing is a bit of a palaver, and quite beyond the elderly lady to whom I was trying to demonstrate it earlier today. It would be really nice if it could show up as a tile. There’s an app to show the wifi as a tile; is there one for Internet Sharing? I’ve not found one but maybe you have?
Dont think its possible, I just tried on my lumia 930 and normally I’d just hold down on the item and a display comes up to add it to the start page. In this case, it does nothing.
You might have to wait and see if windows 10 changes anything.
Currently, there is no API to call ICS so you cannot make a shortcut to it. The best you can hope for is to make “Settings” a tile and access it from there.
However, if you can unlock your phone and sideload the Supreme Shortcuts XAP, you can make a shortcut to access ICS with a touch of a tile.
