I’m looking for albums by a group called SRC, particularly their first album which is just called SRC. When I put SRC in Google, everything that comes up doesn’t relate to the group. I know their albums are available. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can narrow my search down to what I’m looking for?
Try this if indeed you’re talking about Scott Richardson Case. It would appear that the albums are out of print, so perhaps Ebay might be a better bet than Google for finding that first album.
Thanks for that, but I was hoping to spend a bit less than £80 ![]()
Primarily, I want their albums, but I was also wondering if there was anything I could do to search better - more accurately.
Try to put in other words which are more likely to be associated with your SRC than with other SRCs, e.g., names of the members. “SRC Scott Richardson” gets much more relevant results (partly because the “SR” in “SRC” stands for “Scott Richardson”, one of the members).
Thanks: I am indeed. What I’m also trying to sort out is that I’m sure there should be a lot of web entries for them, so why can’t I get Google to find them?
ETA: This is going too fast for my single finger typing! Thank you, Giles - I will try that.
Googling src +album, the first link was to the wikipedia for the group, which includes a discography.
I found my info by Googling “src music.”
Actually, to be more specific, I am looking for CDs or preferably downloads (available in the UK), because I’ve got all their LPs .
That CD is $90 because it’s rare and out of print. Your best bet might be to invest in a USB Turntable that will allow you to turn your vinyl records into CDs or Mp3s potentially saving you from rebuying a great deal of older music. They’re a bit pricey, but if you have a large collection of LPs it can pay for itself pretty quickly.
Yes, I did convert most of my albums (just using a cable from my regular turntable to my PC) but at a lower bitrate than I now find acceptable - and some my albums aren’t exactly scratch free. My albums and turntable are now in storage, I’m lazy and a skinflint, and (so far) I’ve never failed to find any music for downloading and/or buying, so I was hoping SRC wouldn’t be a problem.
More and more, I’m turning to Wikipedia before anything else. Here is their page on the band you’re looking for, and there are three websites listed at the bottom.
You think that’s hard, try searching for the band !!!!
tsk tsk tsk… should have used chk chk chk
I also found the wiki page by googling SRC album. The first link has albums for sale for $15, but you have to print an order form and mail it to someone. That looks as good as you’ll get.
They also have a page where you can possibly find other albums.
Hpw do you think I found the wikipdia page to link to?
