We’re over here in Japan and recently when we go to Google and Youtube it defaults to the Japanese version of these pages (this has only been happening in the past month or so, previously we got the english sites). We can’t read this. I’ve changed the preferences on Google to display in English, but that had no effect. Can anyone tell me how to make these site go to the English language versions? Thanks!
This site says to Google search on a particular word and then append to the address in the address bar “&gl=us”. Once you search for something, the cookie will remember it and your default country will be the U.S. I tried it with “&gl=uk” on a football search and got all soccer results, so I assume this works.
