I bought one of those Creative Nomad Muvo2 Muvo 2 with no 4GB microdrive on ebay and before I start tinkering, I was wondering if anyone has succesfully done this, and can post an step by step (kinda “Installing Compactflash cards for Idiots” type of thing) instructions on how to install a 512 Sandisk Compactflash card on the thing.
I googled it and came up with a decent couple of posts, but still it is unclear to me what the orientation of the card is on the pins, etc.
For those of you who are new to this type of thing, the Creative Nomad Muvo2 is a way for digital camera afficionados to obtain a 4Gb microdrive for their cameras, the unit sells for 200-300 bucs and is usually cannibalized for the microdrive (the 1Gb microdrive by itself can cost up to 500 bucs), then gets sold for 40-50 bucs in ebay w/o the drive, and people like me, buys the unit and install a compact flash card (256 or 512 Mb) and gets it working again. It is done all the time, just not by ignorant people like me. The unit has awsome sound and lots of fetures not available on most 256 or 512mb mp3 players.
