So if I wanted to learn about how to project/trend sales/profit projections for a company, what sorts of classes/books would I need to read? Would I need to get an MBA to really understand that, or can I wing it.
I am a pretty profitable poker player, so I am familiar with EV over a period of time, but I don’t know how a company comes up with the data to say something like “we expect to increase sales by 33% this year”. I can see how one could look a company’s own past to project the rate of increase, but how about for a new company? If you are developing a business plan for a company, how to you project…
