how to post a quote from a fellow posters responce or thread

I know it’s probably real simple,I am relativly new to the computer,but understand most of the terminology.Any help would be apreaciated.Thanks! :slight_smile: :smack:

Or you could press the little speech bubble button. Or press ‘quote’ in the bottom right corner to quote the whole post.

not ‘quote’. ‘reply’. In the botton right corner of the post.

Take a look at the coding that produced the quote above: (replace curly brackets with straight ones for the coding to work):

{QUOTE=NAME OF POSTER}TEXT GOES HERE{/QUOTE}

To quote without an attribution, simply use {QUOTE} to start and {/QUOTE} to end.

If you hit the “reply” button inside a post, it automatically quotes for you. If you click on the “reply” button just outside the list of posts, it will give you a blank window.

Since ATMB is the place for practice posts, I invite you to try it yourself here.

I mean in a reply to a thread, on a paticular thread,where it’s boxed in, to quote someone else. :smack:

Use STRAIGHT brackets [ ] not curly ones { } in your coding.

BTW, preview is your friend . . try hitting the PREVIEW POST button first before you send.
