When I place this photo DVD into my drive, it comes up and shows a slide show of all the photos on it on my Windows Media Player.
There is also a bar with the words “play”, which, when you click on it, will play music to accompany the pictures and this is what I would like to put on YouTube.
I went to a link from google, but it didn’s specifically SAY music - just DVD - and then it mentioned the word “convert” and that’s when I got the hell out and came here. The word rip was also mentioned in that link.
Any Quasi-Proof instructions on how to do this, please?
“Rip” just means copying the data off of the DVD and onto the computer. The file then has to be “converted” because DVD video is different than YouTube video.
As to how to put your photo DVD on YouTube: It sounds like photos and music are separate files. That makes it harder. It can be done, but not automatically. You may want to consider “rip” the files from the DVD, and then send them to someone you trust to put it on YouTube for you.
Otherwise it will probably involve getting the video file off the DVD. Opening it in a video editor, adding the music file as a track, and then rendering the video into an AVI, and then finally uploading it to YouTube.
I don’t think there is a video file.
It sounds like the OP just has a folder of photos, and his player makes a slideshow out of them.
Quasi - you are going to need to create a movie out of your photos. On the Mac, iMovie and iPhoto can do this easily. I’m sure there is a solution on the PC, but I don’t know what it it.
Well guys, what I have is a photo cd which has a “play” option on it. When I hit that play bar, music accompanies the slide show.
I can watch it here on Windows Media Player, but I’d really like to upload it to YouTube so that others can see what this person did for me (it’s really nicely done), but being mentally challenged as I am, I don’t know if I could do it on my own.
So… what? Take it somewhere and have them do it for me?
