I was listening to my favorite radio talk show and happened to hear them discuss what appears to be a common voting fraud, just around the time they mentioned the accidentally forgotten Florida voting box.
It seems that so far, in Florida, the dead have risen because they found over 200 votes from people who passed on. This is not an unknown happening, I guess, because it was also mentioned that in the last presidential election, Chicago turned up 2000 votes from the deceased. From what several callers discussed, apparently the dead come to life in Chicago for every major election.
I’ve heard of this practice, but had thought it was stopped along with bootlegging.
In this electronic day and age, I thought it could be prevented through new technology, until I discovered that in the 50 States, there are no set uniform voting techniques. Some use machines 50 years old, some design their own punch cards and I guess few have anything like a DL scanner to verify the voter who registered is actually who they say they are.
I saw one punch card on the news which should never have made it through the design phase because of the confusing way it is laid out and now all of the votes of the State using it might have to be redone because people have been calling in and saying they think they made a mistake.
What gets me is that here we preach democratic and free elections for all nations and our own seem disorganized and riddled with corruption from days when pollsters would pay for votes outside of the poles. No wonder so many people have stopped voting.
Maybe we need electronic voter registration cards, like on drivers licenses with the scan bar. It might be nice to start recording all of the deaths in one government area that can be accessed through a system that will check the card against such a list. Then issue a standardization decree for all ballet design and voting methods.
If Chicago, known through history for being the leader in voting corruption and almost inventing political payoffs, voted 2000 dead, how many determined corpses voted in other States and for who?
This does not make us look good in front of the rest of the world.
