Re: American Football and TV Broadcasts in India
I’ve got some really dedicated employees over in Mumbai. Some are die hard Philadelphia Eagles fans from Philadelphia.
Is there anyway they can watch the NFC Championship game there? The game is on at 3pm Eastern U.S. time…which makes it about 1.30 AM Mumbai time. They are staying the JW Marriot and the best option thus far is internet radio via NFL.com.
I’d be elevated to hero status if I got them to see the game broadcast live.
I know this is a reach, but one never knows…
Philster I think they might have a fair chance of catching the game on ESPN. Although I cannot guarantee that it could be live, a couple of hours after the game is more likely.
It has been quite some time since I left India, but I remember watching NBA and NFL on ESPN at really weird timings.
On checking the Espn-Star website, sadly it seems like that there will be no broadcast of any NFL game
I suggest that they catch the online streaming version on Winamp’s Internet TV. The might have to search for the right channel and try to get in before it gets full. Difficult, but the only realisitic chance.
I’m afraid that I don’t have a helpful suggestion. Always good to see dedicated Eagles fans. It’s the Right Thing to Do. If it makes you (or them) feel any better, you pass along the news that it’s 14 F right now and we’re expecting a snowstorm on the weekend. Considering that most of us will be watching the game on TV in any event, if you can see it live in Mumbai that’s not the worst place to be…
