How will people say goodbye to Bush?

Now that the his replacement has been named and people are counting the days till he is gone what will people do to say goodbye to the worst president ever?

It doesn’t seem fitting that after 8 years of his screw ups he can just wave goodbye and head back to Texas. I feel like there should be some sort of final demonstration against Bush to signify a close to his time in office.

Does anyone know of any plans for demonstrations of any kind closer to him leaving office?

Or does anyone have ideas?

On 1/20/2009, point your ass at Texas and fart in his general direction.

Thumb. Nose.

With the middle finger.

I’m picturing something like the scenes at the end of Star Wars Ep. 6 after the emperor was dead. You know, fireworks, dancing in the streets, air cars zooming by, jungle drums in celebration, that sort of thing.
Roddy

I like Chris Rock’s comment.

“Was it a surprise when the US elected a black President? No, because we elected a retard for the previous 8 years.”

I’d love to see some out-in-the-streets, mobs-throng-Times Square celebrations like on VE day.

And the yub-yub song. Actually, I can’t think of a better send-off for him than a massed choir singing the yub-yub song.

Protest? Why protest? It’s time to celebrate!

I agree! I was thinking of the happy song from Wizard Of Oz…

“Hi ho, sumbitch is dead!
Which sumbitch?
The dumb sumbitch.
Hi ho, the dumb sumbitch is dead…”
And we all wear monkey costumes and dance down Pennsylvania Avenue as his U-Haul heads towards Crawford, Texas.

I think that every possible route out of DC to wherever they drive should be lined with silent protestors and signs made up .

And then greet him and his wife in Texas and do the same thing on that route as well.

He will wave goodbye and head off to Texas awaiting his eventual rehabilitation (or so he expects). Who could have imagined, in 1974, that we would look back on Nixon and think, “He wasn’t that bad a president, all things considered, certainly by comparison with all but one of his successors.” Although even then we did know some good things he did (not counting extending the war far too long). On the other hand, I cannot now think of a single thing that Bush did right. As I said on another thread, it is hard to imagine how we would have acted differently had he been a paid agent of Iran.

Lining roads with signs won’t work – he’ll be airborne from the White House lawn to his front yard in Texas. And that’s too bad. After the presidency he’s put us through, he should be made to carry a cardboard box of personal effects down the White House driveway, put it in the trunk of a Ford Focus and drive ignominously away.

I sure can’t imagine thinking that. I’m quite content to rate Nixon extremely low, probably third-worst ever. Unless you assume he was mentally ill, his complete disregard for the rights of Americans and total contempt for fairness and the law make him a dangerous and unpleasant son of a bitch.

Presidents like Fillmore, Harrison and Bush the Elder, even Bush the Elder while vomiting, are an entire order of magnitude better for the country.

Basically, the fact that there’s been losers since Nixon does not rehabilitate him in my eyes.

 works for me

Agreed, but there’s still the question of what to eat beforehand: chili or White Castle?

Why be picky? Both!

Being that Shrub is from Texas, I’d suggest a Tex-Mex buffet would be appropriate “ammo” for his “21 Gun Salute”…

They same way they said goodbye to Louis XVI of France?

I plan on one deep, heartfelt exhalation.
