Y’know, it probably have been a good idea to privately ask your GM if the Vamps in your game were going to be standard WoD type vamps or not. Of course, technically there are no standard WoD vamps anymore, since Vampire 3rd edition, at least, has been spun into its own line. Which it sort of was originally. And of course, really they were always their own lines.
I can’t see why. Her character wouldn’t know.
Semi Hijack
A recent visit to the White Wolf site revealed that the WoD has ended. The various apocalyptic things each line has been waiting for have all come. Rather than try to write books set after the end of the world, White Wolf is discontinuing all WoD products. Unless, the whole thing turns out to be an April Fools’ prank- and I don’t think it will.
DocCathode WW did indeed end the WoD and is planning on doing a new modern occult game with similar themes. It launches later this year with an independent core book and supplements for the different supernatural critters. Vampire: The Requim, Werewolf: The Forsaken and Mage: The Awakening are all confirmed.
Now for my in character contribuition.
There are some fine planning hints here so just a quick word on if you are caught up close and personal. Bite the fucker before he bites you. Surprises the hell out of them and if you can suck out some of the bastard’s blood it’s like a tasy hit of PCP but with slightly less health risks. Assuming you don’t get your limbs broken right away grappling with him get your fingers in his eyes and start pressing. Good strong long nails are helpful here but well stuck on fakes made from metal are better. Vampires still feel pain and having a piece of metal shoved into their eye is going to give you a chance to scramble out of range.
Back out of character.
As a final note White Wolf’s website has forums, and the Hunter forum loves in character posts. I’m sure that if you brought it there you would get some interesting responses. It is possible a hunter would be a doper, and might drop word about the in game hunter website. I believe it has been infiltrated in the past, but really I’m not a big Hunter fan so I’m not quite sure. Anyway I’d bring it up with the GM before going to the WW forums.
Tell us, Medea, how goes it with the soulless bloodsucker?
By her absence, I’m guessing things didn’t bode so well for poor Medea…
Though I should note, for the record, that Arsine gas apparently smells like…garlic.
If that’s not an omen, I don’t know what is.
