How would you end BSG on a humorous note?

Lets say that TPTB, for some unknown reason, decided to have the final episode of BSG end on a humorous note, and was asking for suggestions from the fanbase, how would you do it?, what would you suggest?

I can think of two possibilities;

1; at the very end of BSG, we cut to the child actor that played Boxey’s bedroom, as he awakes from a fever dream, surrounded by Edward James Olmos, Mary McDowell, Grace Park, and the rest of the BSG cast…
“I just had the strangest dream, and you were there, and you, and you…”
[“Boxey” is then eaten by a Daggit]

2; the Rag Tag fleet jumps into orbit around Earth, only to be directed into a holding pattern orbit, around the planet orbits;
The Starship Heart of Gold
The TARDIS
The Lexx
The Serenity
Moya
Talyn
Farscape One
a Peacekeeper Command Carrier
a Scarran Dreadnought
and
The Sattelite Of Love

A musical episode.

Adama and the President can do a duet about power and saving the human race.

Six and Baltar can sing a semi-duet where one begins, they sing slightly different songs trading off for a while, then the other ends.

A rousing flight line dance number with Starbuck and the flight crew.

A really odd barbershop quartet song sung by Centurions.

A sad Enya like song from one of the hybreds that doesn’t make complete sense but is sort of cryptically related.

A second song, gospel like about the One God, by Gaius Baltar and a choir of his believers.

The Twelve, all together, in a giant Cylon medley/dance number. (Mmm…tap dancing Tigh! :stuck_out_tongue: )

Then of course, the grand finishing number with the entire cast!

Any musical number.

Lt. Broccoli in the Holo Deck, says, “Computer, end program.”
Darn you, a Boxey dream was my first choice.

Stupid slow internet.

They get back to Earth only to find Apes and the Statue of Liberty buried in the sand in the Forbidden Zone.

C3PO, James T. Kirk, and Mork from Ork have to be involved somehow.

They jump to Earth and are eaten by the Lexx. (Then says to Stan that it was a tasty snack; Stan is distracted by Xev’s boobs and pretty much doesn’t even notice. Kai then sings something.)

How about two million Centurions singing “Share and Enjoy” a flattened fifth out of tune?

They pick up a life boat containing the Harlem Globetrotters, who then challenge the Cylons to a game.

Hmmm… a Centurion chourus line singing “Always Look On The Bright Side of Life”?

“Who, who, who are our enemies? / Who, who, who are our friends?”

I could absolutely see Roslin as Nixon.

Bobby Ewing wakes up and says, “it was all a dream”.

Patrick Duffy wakes up in a shower…

Sorry, can’t do it. We lost Suzanne Pleshette.

:frowning:

No Red Dwarf or Star Bug?

And the Rag Tag Fleet from the original BSG series!

Well, with the exception of the SHOG and Serenity, all the ships I listed were from shows aired by Sci-Fi, that’s why none of the Trek ships, B5 ships or Star Wars ships were listed

Oh yeah, the original RTF would be great, you could have each of the re-imagined characters meet their TOS counterparts

[Olmos] (to Lorne Greene) Who the Frak are you? and what are you doing on MY ship?!?
[Greene] (to Olmos) I’m Admiral Adama…
[Olmos] Im-frakking-possible, I’M Admiral Adama, you must be a Cylon, Tigh, get that…thing…off my ship…
[Greene] No, really, I’m Adama, I’m not a Cylon, Cylons are chrome plated metal robots, you must be insane
[Olmos] Bullcrap, you’re a Toaster
[Talkie Toaster (Patent applied for) ] Toast? Did anyone say they wanted Toast?
[Olmos] And get that cheap kitchen appliance out of the CIC, nobody wants any toast
[Talkie] Cheap?, I’m £19.99 plus tax!
[Tigh] Actually, Sir, I’m a little hungry, some toast would hit the spot…

If you don’t actually have an ending for your story, and you’ve painted yourself into a corner, go allegorical. Worked for The Prisoner.

Seriously, if the ending isn’t something that makes me say “Aha! That’s what they were leading up to all this time!”, if the Cylons DON’T have a plan, if it’s in any way, shape or form a cop-out, I am going to be SOOO pissed…

The last episode should be a “Rocky Horror” sendup, with Baltar as Frank N. Furter, Six as Rocky, Tyrol as Eddie, Lee Adama as Brad, and Starbuck as Janet. Special appearances by Doc Cottle as Dr. Scott and Admiral Adama as the Narrator.
