How would you mis-spell "euthanasia"?

I administer the website at the company where I work - which means that I am responsible for content updating and fielding the “webmaster” emails (amongst other things). Yesterday we got a complaint that we had mis-spelled the word euthanasia on our site - which is an issue, since we are a Veterinary Regulatory Body and it is “not professional” to have words “of the trade” mis-spelled. Helpfully though, the person didn’t tell me which page it was on or how it had been mis-spelled, so I cannot find it to correct it!!!

I have tried searching for “euthenasia” without success, but cannot imagine how else to spell it.

Any ideas?

Youth in Asia?

Found it - “euthansia” !!

Well, you spelled it differently in the final sentence than you did in the title… I can’t remember which is correct, so search for the other one

Bah. I see in preview you’ve solved the problem: Now my excessively witty help will go unhelping. Damn.

Bah. There’s a difference between an accidental typo and ignorant misspelling. I don’t have much use for people who get all high and mighty over the former.

Glad you found and fixed it, though! Knowing it was there would have driven me batty too.

I am ashamed to know that there was an entire Benny Hill sketch based around these homophones(?). Was it any good?

Funnily enough, no.

That makes me think of a European airline, for some reason.

Oddly enough, when I was in high school i was not the mental giant you see me as now. I was trying to impress a girl who was very into politics what-not, and she was cute as hell.

So here’s welby trying to spout off about national news and politics, most of which was gleaned from a quick front page scan of the paper, and she pops the question:

Hot Girl: “Well, what do you think about euthansia?”

Me: “Umm, I guess they have some. Youths I mean. In Asia.”

Hot Girl: “Do you have any idea how stupid that sounds?”

I can still hear the wind screaming past the wings of my ego’s airplane as it went down in flames.
