How's Firefox 3.6?

I don’t think I like Firefox 3.6 very well. I can’t find Vanessa and I don’t like the idea of 'Personas," whatever the hell they are.

How do you change the size of the Location Bar?

I’ve looked everywhere and apparently it looks like it can not be changed.

Or I’m missing the point.

Position your cursor to the right end of it, between it and the search bar. The pointer will turn into a double-headed arrow. Then just move it to the right or left to change the size.

Sorry, I said it wrong.

I’ve removed the search bar and only have the Location Bar which now fills out to the right side.

I just want the Location Bar width to be more narrow.

So you want some blank space up there, then? Drag in the blank space from the toolbar customizer. Repeat until the address bar is the desired width.

Now, if you mean height, I don’t think you can fix that without getting a skin. And I can’t find a skin that does it, so you may be out of luck.

3.6 isn’t opening links or spawning tabs/windows properly for me, sometimes - for example, I clicked on the links in this thread and nothing happened at all. I typed firefox not opening links in the search bar and clicked the glass icon, nothing happened. I minimised the window and double-clicked the firefox icon on my desktop to open a brand new window - nothing happened.

And in those occasions where I used to get 'firefox is already running…" error messages, when trying to open a new session after closing all the existing firefox windows, I now just get nothing - Firefox won’t launch, and won’t tell me why it’s not launching.

I think I might go back to 3.5.

I’ve been having problems with Firefox not accepting mouse clicks in general, not just links but the whole app. I can hit Control-Esc to bring up the Start Menu, and that seems to reset something, then I can click. The weird thing is that happens at home on Firefox 3.6 and at work on 3.0.x. I’ve moved to Iron (a more private and portable version of Chrome), I’m liking it pretty well.

I uninstalled and reinstalled 3.6 - it’s still misbehaving with links and/or spawning windows/tabs. Might be one of my add-ons, I guess, but I’m not using anything particularly unusual
