How's the local beer in your neck of the woods?

Huh. Oooooh yes it will. That’s interesting, though; I don’t think I’ve noticed any and I go to pretty decent stores. I’ll have to take a closer look now that I know it might be out there.

No way, for my next north-of-the-border beer run I’m getting what I do every time - a whole metric assload of New Glarus beers. Those are only sold in Wisconsin and I love 'em.

FYI New Glarus is in the process of building a new brewery. I think the first batch from the new place just came out. So if you don’t find what you want, keep checking. Alot of things that were seasonal (ie Bock) will become year round brews. And some of the seasonals they just plain stopped producing for a while (ie Road Slush I think)
I don’t know how far into Wisconsin you come or how much beer you take with back with you, but I’d be happy to order anything you’d like from my distributor… not that you can’t find it at 50 stores between Kenosha and Milwaukee.

I visited there a few months back, actually, and when my husband and I eagerly asked, “Does this mean you’ll be distributing to Illinois?” the answer was no and definitely had the tone of “and man, we’ve been asked this question a lot but are trying to not sound like we’re annoyed.” They said they don’t expect to be able to meet their Wisconsin-based demand even with the new location, but it will let them work at more specialty brews. I appreciate the offer for ordering, though - other than New Glarus we can pretty much get the Wisconsin beers that we like.
