How's This For A MMP?

How about Bugsy? Or, Nao Nao which is Chinese for naughty naughty? Roxie? Lucy?

Yesterday was so busy that I just plum tuckered myself out and now the cold I’ve been fighting is winning. I called my Dad to tell him I would not be visiting him at the hospital today. The last thing he needs is my cold germs. He was understanding and sounded pretty good, actually.

I’m going to do some tidying, clean myself up, and go to the grocery store so I can have a nice dinner waiting for my husband when he gets home. He’s on his way back home from his trip across the state to visit my son for Dad’s Weekend at Washington State University. They had a great time and I’m glad. They couldn’t make it through the whole football game last night because it was just too damn cold. Their feet were numb, and considering they both have colds, it was best they left anyway. They had front row end zone seats, because that was the best I could get them. They managed to make it through the first half, and ironically, that’s all of the game that I watched on TV too. I knew it was cold over there, because I could see the both the players’ breath and all the fans’ breath.

Not much else going on here. I was supposed to attend a luncheon at my friend’s house today, but I begged off that too. I’m just not feeling up to doing much today and wanted some time to myself.

I just finished the back yard - it only took about an hour, and that included stopping to unclog the vac hose a couple of time. I’m about to get back to knitting. My kiln is in the low 500s now - I should be able to unload it first thing in the morning. Can’t wait!!

Puppeh is crashed next to her daddy - she does not like when he’s out of her sight. Poor baby’s gonna have a fit when we go to work!

No comment on my name suggestions? Harumph!

Howdy Y’all! All deheathenated, **N.O.L.**ed (had butterfly shrimps which does not mean shrimp with wings. What a disappointment to learn that!) and outdoor cooker is all cleanded up and back safe and sound in its home on the back porch. Been a busy day!

SIL is comin’ home tomorrow! I has considered goin’ up to Columbus to see her today but what with her goin’ home tomorrow my bro said don’t bother just see her at Turkey Time. So yay!!!

flytrap, catdude means he believes Da Bears are goin’ to whoop up on The Texans not da bear, aka, angelic lil’ ol’ moi.

I’s tahrd!

swampy, a shirmp with wings is called a “moth”. Watching football at the Bistro. Go Texans!

**Taters **- how can you possibly expect me to remember the first paragraph you wrote after I read the next three!! Sheesh!! :stuck_out_tongue:

**FCD **is being contrary - he has yet to like a single suggestion but I haven’t heard him come up with one himself. Apparently he’ll know the perfect name when he hears it.

That would be an awesome name for a pug! Just imagine going out on the back porch to call him in for dinner, and yelling “HARUMPH!”

Up, caffeinated, and off to irk. As part of my just-barely-beginning attempt to get back into something resembling a shape, I ordered a training DVD from my sensei back in St. Paul, and hope to start training again at a local dojo in a month or so, once I’m flexible and strong enough not to embarass myself horribly.

Towards that end, the second step was to stretch out this morning before my shower, and do a few pushups.

A few being three.

This is gonna suck.

Annie? After Annie Wilkes in** Misery**?

Admiral Ackbar cereal!

It’s a beyootiful day out in the mountainous regions. I walked down to the Jardin Botanique and admired the river. November’s becoming my favorite month. I’m also listening to Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness which is one of my favorite albums of all times. (Best album of the 1990s. I have decreed it. We shall have none of your Nirvana here, I say!)

As for the cloud in the silver lining, my stomach is rebelling against someone I ate. Damn disagreeable people.

Of* course* I expect you to remember my first paragraph. You always put the most important stuff in the first sentence or paragraph when writing. Perhaps I should have reiterated it in the last paragraph.

Maybe I should have done a PowerPoint presentation with one sentence bullets.

I mentioned earlier that sil is comin’ home tomorrow. That’s what I thought. Turns out she came home last night! She, needless to say, is beyond happy to be home. Still no report from pathology re the tumor but if she recovered that well that quickly, I say it must be good.

Also, I vote for Harumph. :stuck_out_tongue:

And if you get another, you could name her Piffle.

Here we are bein’ all helpful, yet FCD keeps rejectin’ our names for the new baby. What a grouch! :stuck_out_tongue:

Good grief - you sound like a gummint employee!!!

:stuck_out_tongue:

Hey, swampster, he’s rejected all of my suggestions, too. I’ve quit suggesting. He can figger it out on his own.

The pup is a hoot. **FCD **went to the basement to do the water change for the aquarium and the pup whined till he came back upstairs. I’m going to start calling her Whiney!

Hah! Ya think?! I am a PowerPoint warrior!

Whiney makes me think of Winnie. Winnie would be a good name. Or not. It ain’t like I got a winnin’ percentage goin’ on here.

In other news, laundry is finished. Go Me!

I like Harrumph. Pugs harrumph quite often and you could shorten it to Harry, as needed. Then there’s Carlino and Mops, as they’re known in other countries. But yeah, Harrumph has my vote.

Since yesterday was about 20 hrs long of being awake, I only got up this mornin’ because somedog was whinin’ & barkin’ about being thirsty. Went back to bed for a while & got up & outside to enjoy almost 70° in Nov. That meant listening to the  gunshots  all day long. The local VFD does a turkey shoot fundraiser. You pays your money & shoot clay [del]pigeons[/del] jr. turkeys; winner gets a turkey dinner, or sumpin like that. Lived here long enough that I’m used to it now, but it was quite worrisome the first year or two.

FCM, the first time the pup makes any kind of noise that sounds even remotely like a ‘Blurf’, you just have to call him Blurf. You has to! Little Orange Cat’s 2nd nickname is, in fact, Blert. 'cause she talks. A LOT.

Yay for SIL, Swampy! That is good news, indeed

So, Mouse has been ignoring his doggy food. He gets plenty of wet food, twice a day, and I try to change it up a little; I’m including adult, chunky dog food as well as the ground-up puppy food, 'cause I know that gets boring and he’s never been wild about the puppy food anyway. But I guess he’s had enough human food lately <never more than a bite or two, I swear> that he has turned his nose up at his plate the last few days, just begrudgingly barely skimming it. I’ve been checking to make sure he’s not blocked up, since he’ll eat sticks and cat poop snacks and everything else he can find…just not his damn food. But things are coming out alright, so to speak, so I’m not too worried there. I even warm up his food if it comes out of the fridge, since we don’t give him anywhere NEAR a full can of any size; so I make sure it’s not cold. (Yes, he’s a spoiled dorky pup)

So, after he totally ignored most of his food last night, and all of his food this morning, I picked up his plate and pretended I was eating it. Worked like a charm, and he scarfed it down after begging me for some, lol! Dorky, dorky dog.

Spidey I prefer to get my turkey dinner from the grocery sto. Well, the fixin’s for it which I make myself. I am hostin’ turkey day dindin this year. Then the Sattidy after Turkey Day, I do turkey dindin with family. That way I get two turkey dindins. Talk about yer win-win!

Tao of course Mouse wanted his dindin after you pretended to eat it. If it’s good enough for the humans, it’s good enough for him!

Anyone startin’ us off tomorrow?
