How's This For A MMP?

The [del] rule[/del] law of proper dog naming: Dog gets two names. For the first 48-72 hrs it’s"Dog". After that time either personality will show or it will have done something to choose it’s own name. That is why I knew of a pup who stole something from a box & then spent the rest of his life answering to “Pizza”. :stuck_out_tongue:

I just suggested that we call her Norma, the female equivalent of Norman, as in Bates, because she’s slightly psycho! (**FCD **considered Ophelia, another famous crazy…) She’ll bark bark bark bark at Taz if she sees him, whether he’s paying attention to her or not. Right now she’s curled up next to **FCD **on the couch and Taz is sitting on the top of my desk hutch. Ziva is probably under the bed. Another glorious day in FairyChatLand!

swampy, I thought about Wednesday, but there’s no easy shortening for a nick. And when I suggested it, I got  so that’s that.

We ended up having breakfast at home. Which is fine. I do need to get some grocery matter today - later.

Up, and caffeinated, since the zoo wanted to go out. Gonna clean the kitchen and watch football today.

by that logic, I should have named Gordie “Pony Molester” instead.

FCM, I second poking FCD with a pointy stick.

swampy, it’s 39 here, with the high supposed to be 72. And yes, you gets points.

Mooooom, if it’s a boy pug I say call it Fred. If it’s a girl, Frieda.
Only fish can be named Wanda.

I must vote “Pugsly” with the Cute and the Ursine Ones.

Well, you can all vote all you want for Pugsley, but it ain’t happening - that has been decreed.

The kiln is under 1100°F, but I don’t expect to unload it till tomorrow. Too often, I’ve jumped the gun and had pieces crack or chip because of temperature stress. So I’ll just let it come down on its own. The most I’ll do is prop the lid open slightly when it gets under 200°. I hate this part - the waiting… I wanna see my stuff!!!

See, FCM, it’s like this with pugs: everything is interesting, concerning, and/or a party. Therefore they must investigate and involve themselves however they see fit. If the investigation reveals a party hat is needed, yay! Barking and sneezing needed? Done and done, enthusiastically. You’ll catch on. Until then resign yourself to a pug underfoot, adding emmm… spice, yeah, spice to everything.

Skettie was delish last night and I even learned how to cook pasta in the microwave. Regular dry pasta, some water, and about four minutes longer than the box recommends for stove top cooking. I had no idea! How did I live this long and not know that? Sheesh.

Today is a lazy day. Others will watch football (yay Raiders. yay. No really; I totally care. deeply) and I will get ready to move, which should take ten minutes tops. The good news is the new place is free and I’ll be able to save for a place all my own. Here’s hoping I can find one that’ll take my pets. There’s a real hate for pets by complexes around Sonoma county.

Poor lil mousie; hugs to you Filbert. I had a mouse named Susie way back when and she was nifty. Funny how something so small can still touch you.

Happy Veteran’s Day ever-body!

This is going on you Permanent Record.

:dubious:

I’m almost 59 years old - how long can that Permanent Record affect me?? :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Veterans Day, folks, and a big THANK YOU to all who served and serve.

Hugs all around for those in need. It is a chilly morning in New Mexico today, and gasp it is not sunny! We are getting a taste of winter today I guess. Happily, it will be back to normal for New Mexico by Tuesday at the latest (sunny, warm and dry).

FCM, she is a cute (for a pug!) dog! My suggestion is Ebony, although I do realize that is a pretty name for a pug. Hope that Taz and Ziva get adjusted quickly, although it looks like it might be the pug who needs adjustment! LOL

Beef stew in the crock pot for tonight, which will be served along with cornbread. YUM! I need to get back to bed, though, I think - it’s chilly! I got up early to get the beef stew going, so there.

Have a great day all.

Long enough.

Okay - no Pugsley - then second vote for Wednesday

This! Plus a big thank you to the families who’ve supported them; sometimes, it’s a lot easier to be in the field than it is to be home, wondering.

Hrm, pug names…I don’t know, but he does have the same 'I’m probably gonna be in trouble twice an hour, but that’s ok ‘cause I’m cute, right?’ mischief look that Mouse has. Now, Mouse would not be a good name for a pug; ours is named after a book character, not 'cause he’s little and cute and quiet and always where you don’t expect him. So I dunno! But he’s gonna be a handful of fun, you can see that already

Speaking of mouse…{{{Filbert}}} Poor little mouse. Hopefully he had a better time being with you than he would have on his own.

Today shall be burning of the storage unit, yay! Ok, not really, just cleaning it out. And getting a ton of stuff in there ready to take to the dump tomorrow, which shall make more room for the other stuff we’ve got to put in there.

Other than that, it’s too early to tell. But I doubt there will be cookies. :dubious:

Hi everybody!

Sunday (read Monday…) Blues / workload in action.

Happy Belated Birthday, GT!

Cute pug, FCM! No ideas for names, though – our animals tend to be named after alcohol; over the years we’ve had a Scotch, a Whisky and now a Ginny.

(OK, the cat is named Silly, because, well… he is!)

Hmm… maybe you could call him “Coke”; fits the color!

I have to add, since I can’t edit:

A few days ago, I saw some fleece-fabric pjs at wallyworld. I was looking for something warm to bring to Idaho, 'cause I won’t have MrTao’s heat there to help. =/ Anyway, saw fleece separates, and also adult-sized fleece onesies, complete with feet! I love those! And they even had one in Eeyore, which is my favorite!

But I am getting old, I guess, and just went with the separates. Can’t see trying to explain Eeyore pjs to my dad, should he happen to see me in them, lol.

ANYway, it’s been cold enough here to turn the heat on at night, finally. So…I’ve broken the jammie in early. And they are SOOOOO warm and comfy! Feel like I’m sleep-snuggling on a cloud. Goofy as they look/are, I’m glad I got them. Yeah, I have stars and clouds all over my bottoms, but oh well. They are soooo nice. I highly recommend them, as goofy as they might be.

PapaJohn is making lunch - I had enough points for 2 free pizzas! YAY!

One of my sisters said we need to bring the dog on Thanksgiving and we’ll have a family contest to name her. What could possibly go wrong with that???

Had an aig muffin and an apple for breakfast.

Tao ,you should have gotten the onsies. I’m sure your Dad would be OK.
FCM, How about Ackbar?

**FCD **had to run out to get some salt for the aquarium. He left without the puppeh. Puppeh is not happy - she’s alternately whining and chasing the cat. She misses her daddy!

Critters crack me up!

Caffienating on the couch, watching noon games and getting ready to go watch the Bears do the Texas Two Stomp on the Texans tonight!

I was not aware that Swampy was a Violent Person.

/appendages still crossed for Swampy’s SIL
