HRC Fans: Still think the main stream media is unbiased?

BTW, Aquila, we threshed out the questions of Obama’s and Wright’s “racism” pretty thoroughly in this recent seven-page thread; you might want to review it.

If there’s any doubt about the difference between the media’s treatment of Obama and McCain, consider this: we’ve all heard about Obama’s “connection” to 60s radical William Ayers, which consists of living near him and serving on a philanthropic board with him a few years back. This has come up several times so far, including the most recent debate.

How many times have you heard the words “Keating Five”? It’s more than zero, but not by much, considering that there’s some actual juice in that orange.

Cite for any racist teachings by Jermiah Wright?

C’mon DtC, he’s angry, he’s black…do I need to draw you a picture? It’s not what he says, it’show he says it! He’s scary!!

I’d shoot myself if I had to read a seven page thread comprised of 49% Obama swooners, 46% HRC fans and 5% conservatives who chime in every once and a while for kicks.

I am curious about what you folks decided regarding racism in this regard:

If 90+% of blacks vote for Obama many of whome never voted before in their life (ie never voted for a white person), would that be racist?

Interesting sublety in descriptions.

If any number of non-black people have never voted for a black person in the general election for President of the United States, for over two hundred years, would that be racist and does that make them all racist?

For Obama to have gotten to where he is right now against a political machine like the Clintons squared - he’d have to have transcended some racial boundaries in there somewhere. I do hope this get’s it’s due in a nice paper or book for our kids to read. Because this election is already making history.

It’s not racism, because African-Americans have legitimate reasons to vote for candidates of their own race that white Americans have not. I hope I don’t need to explain why; it’s fairly obvious.

 Read it! Read it! Dare ya!

:dubious: The ideological/cultural/demographic makeup of the Doper community is what it is. If you want to post or even lurk here you just have to get used to it. The mods ban nobody for conservatism.

No thank you.

On another Board that I visit occasionally, I managed to struggle through two pages of the twentieth or thirtieth Obama megathread being discussed. At the end of that experience all I felt was a bit embarrassed at the childishness of it all.

From a later post you said:

That’s fine by me. I have no intention of trying to reason you out of your position.

It’s been like that here too, Aquila Be. You can tell from the thread titles.

No need to bother.
The OP question is too vague to address properly, btw - every reporter has bias, and their organizations collectively add up to having bias as well, and that is just part of being human. I’m not aware of any “MSM” (a Limbaugh term, FWIW) outlets fawning over Clinton nearly as much as Obama, though, nor of any saying of either what Chris Matthews has said of their McCain coverage: “We’re his base”.
