HTC Phones don't have alarm app

Well… sometimes they do.

I have a new HTC Incredible II that I really like. Except… The standard alarm and timer app no longer works. It worked for a while, then stopped and then came back. Now it appears to be gone for good.

This seems to be an HTC problem and not a Verizon or Android problem as far as I can glean from Android forums. Lots of finger pointing going on.

I REALLY don’t wan’t to download an entirely different clock app just so I can have a timer. And it seems that most of them are just alarms. I like a timer for cooking.

It’s nuts. Bar code scanner? Star Map? GPS? Contact anyone on the planet? No problem.

Alarm clock. Um no. :smack:

Does it have a clock app? I have an HTC Incredible and if I tap the clock app it opens up Desktop Clock, World Clock, Alarms, Stopwatch and Timer. I’d be surprised if the I2 doesn’t have the same feature. Also, I just went through an Android version update to 2.3.4, but prior to the update it had all the same features.

Yep. It has a clock app. And it worked for a while just a you described. Then it quit. Then it worked. Then it quit.

Now it does not work at all. I have the clock. but taping it does nothing.

Also, what was weird was that setting the extra home city clocks would not let me get rid of a city I am about 8,000 miles away from. My friend at work has this same extra city on the exact same phone. And she can’t get rid of it either.

I can’t even get to that functuon at this point.
