Hubster is in ICU (Update: Now Home and Recuperating)

This is very well said, so I’ll just echo the sentiment and add my continued good wishes for his recovery.

I can’t improve on it either; so me three.

And we’re also glad you can vent here.

So he’s in the hospital again. I got a call at work. I was knee deep in the cooler stocking and condensing the thrice damned energy drinks; seriously there are way too many of those stupid things. Anyway, my son in law called. Hubster had called my daughter, all she could hear was can’t breath and need Syl. So I left the ridiculous mess in the cooler and flew home. She and her husband were there, and we got her friend (daughter is pregnant) to help get him in the car. Off we went.

He has double pneumonia, at least no sepsis or kidney failure. He is at the local hospital this time, and hopefully out tomorrow. Yay! thank goodness for the small improvements.

Yikes! I hope it responds well to antibiotics.

Poor guy.

Poor Syl.

Thinking of y’all!

Oh, he’s a ton better already. One breathing treatment improved things immensly. I almost (not really) wish he could be here a lot, but not sick. They make him do stuff that I can’t talk him into.

:right_facing_fist: :wood:

Avoiding the jinx. Hope the recovery goes well and the time interval between emergencies grows!

Oh lord, it’s never just one thing at a time, is it? Sending best wishes for both of you!

Very glad to see that.

Those breathing treatments are things that we did for mom and sis at home a lot. There were both maintenance ones and more emergency ones. I hope you can get him to do them at home (assuming that’s one of those things).

Doctors, and especially nurses tend to be that way.

We don’t have a home nebulizer machine. We had one decades ago for my asthmatic son, but we no longer have it. My son got a lot less symptomatic as he grew older.

I kinda wish we did have one, but I doubt that they will prescribe one for hubs. One thing he doesn’t want is the gait belt. There are more, but I can’t think of them now.

I’m wishing you both the best.

Just a thanks to everyone. It’s been and continues to a be a long strange trip.
