You can find articles about Trump’s fondness for recording his conversations and phone calls. He’s a slimeball and all of his friends and business partners are as well, so they’re all in the habit of recording each other. They also all know that this is the case, and are lying when they pretend otherwise. Trump would certainly have been aware that Cohen was likely to have recordings of him because, almost certainly, there would have been lots of occasions where the two of them - sitting together - would have recorded a phone call with a third person. It’s SOP for their group.
The only things that I can think of that might shake his ardent (Silver Lining like) supporters would be
If he was caught on Camera in a way that couldn’t be dismissed as fake news admitting that he has been playing all of his supporters for suckers and doesn’t actually give a damn about them. (ala a face in the crowd)
It comes out (again in a convincing manner) that he is in fact a Russian agent. Not just that he colluded with the Russians on the election which they would view that as the ends justify the means, but that he was being blackmailed by Putin to actively put Russia’s interest ahead of the US’s.
No I’m pretty sure he could shoot a supporter in the face and would continue garner support among his boosters. It might even get him a popularity boost by demonstrating how he doesn’t take guff from nobody, even friends. He’s like Joe Pesci’s character in Goodfellas, except his fingers are too small to grasp a pisto…nope, too easy.
Althoug it is appealing from a consistency standpoint to think that Trump’s erratic behavior is all the result of his being blackmailed and fed instructions direct from Putin, I’ve long thought that Putin would not be desperate enough to rely on Trump being compentent enough to follow orders and not spill his guts. However, with the recent nerve agent poisonings and other ham-handed actions by Russian intelligence, I’m no longer sure that he hasn’t tried to leverage Trump or at least his family in some kind of Smiley’s People-esque scheme in hopes of causing enough disarray that nobody steps up to prevent Russian expansionism.
On the other hand, the Trumps appear to be such a collection of halfwits it wouldn’t surprise me that they are easily duped into following suggestions by Russian-backed associates without even thinking abou the implications. In any case, the ultra-right-wing/Tea Party movement has already laid the groundwork for dealing with such a revelation with their, “What’s wrong with having better relations with Russia?” line of reasoning, notwithstanding the adversarial position that Russia has taken with all of our strategic allies and the fact that Putin is about as trustworthy as a pit viper.
Whose character should matter - hers or the President’s? You’ve been misdirected well, Comrade.
Several have already been played on the news, although probably not on Fox or RT, so it’s no surprise you didn’t know…
Oh, go ahead, give us your favorite cite. If it’s just a transcript of “The Clinton Chronicles”, I’ll be disappointed, but not very, and certainly not surprised.
Ladies and gentleman, a man who slept through 2008-2016, in particular the relentless and stupid pursuit to accuse a sitting president of being a Kenyan-born Muslim. Sir have you heard about the astonishing security features of the iPhone 6?
It means she knows it’s possible, and everybody around him knows it’s possible, and therefore nobody is willing to say it’s impossible. Nobody, not even in the inner circle, is willing to go on record saying “nope, Trump never called anybody a n*gger, wouldn’t couldn’t possibly say that”.
He’ll say and do anything, and we need to think about what that means.
I’m positive he’s said it at least 25,000 times in his life and probably heard it from daddy 100,000 times. And I’m hoping I DON’T hear him say it, because it will most likely be at one of his ego rallies and followed by the loudest cheers you’ve ever heard.
Yes they would be stupid enough to hire a popular African American for their own "political " reasons, even if she was a drama queen. Bill might have another idea this his cigar or a pool stick.
Where can I hear this alleged recording? Links, please.
It’s amazing how quickly the left falls for another boy who cried wolf story.
First, they said Trump was anti-Semitic until they later learned half his family is Jewish. Trump is probably the most pro-Israel President in decades.
Then they said he colluded with the Russians. Utter BS, there is no such proof. Trump is very hard on Russia, calling them out and enforcing sanctions
Now some lady said he used the N-word. Okay, where is it?
How old are you, kenobi ?
I’m a white American very close to 70 years old and have never uttered the word except in a 2nd-hand context or when singing along to Dylan’s “Hurricane.” I can’t recall ever hearing the word from any friend or acquaintance. My father was a bit bigoted, but I never even heard him say the N-word.

Most political aides would look befuddled and say “Of course not” if asked whether their master used the N-word. That Trump’s spokeswoman can’t do that is just another sign of our desolation. I suppose that, to answer honestly, she’d also have to answer “I don’t know” to questions about the child-rape charges against Trump, etc.
.
“I can’t guarantee that Americans will never hear President Donald Trump say the “N-word” on a recording.”
“Follow up question, please; Can you guarantee that Americans will not hear a recording of the President using that word over this morning’s breakfast?”
That may be true but I submit that your are in the minority. Its not really the point, anyway. I mean, how long has Sanders personally known Trump? A few years? Several? How could she be expected to guarantee that he was never taped saying the word before that? She can’t. It simply not possible. She fails to answer so many, many other questions posed to her, choosing instead to ignore or dodge them. The press should focus on those.
350 papers had editorials today about the First Amendment and Trump’s assault on it. If the media are going to be united, then be united. When SHS won’t answer a reporter or is obviously obfuscating, the next reporter should ask the same question. And the next. And so on. But everyone is afraid of not being called on again or being asked to leave the room so they cow tow and accept whatever smoke she spews. Journalistic principles end where competition begins, I guess.
