Engineers create wealth, and lawyers take it away…
And, contrary to popular opinion, engineers did not invent copper wire. Instead, it was 2 lawyers fighting over a penny.

Well, it just so happens that I’m (very happily) married to an engineer. I dunno about hugging one, but I do know that Wednesday morning, I f**ked one 'til he screamed; does that count?
norinew, I think it all depends on what he screamed…
Engineer Chocolate Chip Cookies:
Ingredients:
To a 2-L jacketed round reactor vessel (reactor #1) with an overall heat transfer coefficient of about 100 Btu/F-ft2-hr, add ingredients one, two and three with constant agitation. In a second 2-L reactor vessel with a radial flow impeller operating at 100 rpm, add ingredients four, five, six, and seven until the mixture is homogenous. To reactor #2, add ingredient eight, followed by three equal volumes of the homogenous mixture in reactor #1. Additionally, add ingredient nine and ten slowly, with constant agitation. Care must be taken at this point in the reaction to control any temperature rise that may be the result of an exothermic reaction.
Using a screw extrude attached to a #4 nodulizer, place the mixture piece-meal on a 316SS sheet (300 x 600 mm). Heat in a 460K oven for a period of time that is in agreement with Frank & Johnston’s first order rate expression (see JACOS, 21, 55), or until golden brown. Once the reaction is complete, place the sheet on a 25C heat-transfer table, allowing the product to come to equilibrium.
I won’t reveal his exact words in what could very well be mixed company (let’s just say he invoked the Name of a Deity he doesn’t even believ in, and leave it at that, shall we?), but it was definitely a good kind of a scream.
A waiver was issued covering the components, where:
Component #5 is now halved in volume;
Component #6 increased by 50% of current value;
Component #7 increased by 100% of current value;
Component #10 is deleted.
Process as previously stated.
Justification for waiver is that resulting yield has shorter dwell time when placed in storage devices.
norinew, you owe me a keyboard!
Julie
“Oh, ** norinew**, I’ve never maximized my coeffcient of friction like THAT!!!”
