I don’t think I will be able to watch the current Sci-Fi run all the way through due to a new job I will have soon(60 hours a week). I really want to watch B5 all the way though and am wondering if anyone would be so kind as to let me borrow their copy of the whole run(all 5 seasons). I will pay shipping costs and promise to return them as soon as I am done.
I’m kinda hoping that someone will just help out because they want another Sci-Fi fan to “join the ranks” so to speak. I know this is a huge favor to ask, but I know that there are many people on SDMB that enjoyed this show. I’m willing to bend to your needs if you have stipulations or anything.
I am willing to pay shipping, even a little more if you want to make some profit. I greatly appreciate it if you can. Email me at Mahaloth@aol.com if you are interested in helping. Thanks again for you kindness.
Hey, I’m sure I could lend you my husband’s tapes–over his COLD DEAD BODY.
(Sorry, I’m a tease.)
But you might want to check your video rental store. Ours has lots of episodes on tape–don’t know if they have the complete set, though, 'cause I never looked too close. But they’re in the cheapo section, so it wouldn’t be a financial disaster.
If you get the nice commercial tapes, you don’t have to listen to the annoying attention-getting beep and watch the scroll of thunderstorm warnings across the bottom of all of ours. Don’t know what it was about B5, but its broadcast always seemed to coincide with wrath-of-God-type storm systems.
Thanks, but none of the video stores around here carry anything Babylon 5, even the movies. Yes, I have four Blockbusters and none of them carry anything.
I only need the tapes for about a month. I live in Michigan, but will pay shipping from anywhere in the U.S.
Obviously, since you’d like to borrow the tapes, you have a VCR. Why don’t you simply purchase a few blank tapes and tape the episodes to watch later that night, or on the weekend? You could either reuse the same tapes so it costs very little, or keep all the episodes, creating a collection for yourself.
Mahaloth, the tape with the three episodes you missed went in the mail today(not yesterday as I had said it would.) We can keep on exchanging for the ones you miss, when I get one back I can send another.
Oh shoot, forgot to add, you may not want to offer money for episodes like mine, taped off someone’s TV. There are probably copyright issues involved. I found THAT out once on these boards once when I offered to pay for taped cartoons, and was (very) gently admonished for it by a moderator. I never claimed to be a rocket scientist.
