My first reaction as well. I actually had some sympathy when Scalia passed, but this guy sexually harasses women, which makes it much harder.
This is one where my policy of “sympathy costs little” is tested. I choose it out of duty so I don’t become a monster, not for his sake. I’m sure he had some loved ones, so I can at least feel bad for them.

Actually, no. A pun requires an adaptive approach to language. My dogs know what “out” means. They haven’t figured out, yet, what “O-U-T” means, much less anything abstract. Trilby managed a clue, but the others have always been Dumb, Like a Dog. None of them could manage a pun, but they had a deep understanding of slapstick.

I have to figure he was one of those guys whose job was his life. He didn’t have any kind of involvement that didn’t center on it. When he got driven out at long last, he had nothing to do in his life and his prestige and his power had evaporated.

I’d argue that one hundred percent unbiased news is not only unrealistic, it’s unattainable. Better to have the biases out there so you can pick and choose. And again, in my opinion and how I go about things, I like to take in a little bit of all of it.
