Wow, and I thought I got worked up.
And here I was mentally composing a pit rant about how some construction “workers” (assuming they are working and not standing around smoking while traffic backs up another hundred feet) ought to be “…skinned…”.
Entirely wrong country to make any sort of profit on it. Blast;)
Damn. I was hoping to be here on time to flame the OP before his meds kicked in. Looks like i’m about 90 minutes too late.
Bosda Di’Chi of Tricor, you may well be mad as a box of frogs – I can forgive that, but you can’t both ascribe this behaviour to “Human Nature” and say “There are no excuses for this!”, no?
Forget about Bosda…all I can say about the story is Oh My GAWD…
barf
Apology accepted, Captain Needa!
Anyway, as one of the liberal Eurodopers, I am quite shocked that you’d think “we” would have a problem with you condemning the practise of skinning people and selling their skin. I was convinced that I made a point of always arguing in capital punishment threads (against it) and so the high regard for human life those “euro-dopers” usually display should be evident.
A cynical note: Wouldn’t those guys make more money, if they sold their victims’ organs instead of limiting themselves to only selling the skin?
Doubtless they would, if they had the technology to “harvest” the organs properly and ice them for transport. That’s a bit beyond the knife and a frame you need for skinning and preserving skin.
I’m kinda curious about “The prices of the human skins range from $2,400 to $9,600, depending on the age of the victim, police say.” You think the old skins or the young ones are more expensive?
And FTR, ewwwwwww!
There there, Bosnian Tricorder, no need to get so thin-skinned about it…
Interesting that The Devil’s Grandmother is making this inquiry.
Looking for some extra cash?
