"Humboldt County" the feature film

Interview with the writer/directors

It looks really good, and I like to think that I have a pretty high bar for a film based in/on the eccentric and idiosyncratic Mother Country that I know and love. It seems to be getting good reviews too, at least from the folks who have seen advanced screenings. I haven’t seen many mainstream reviews yet.

Isn’t this the place where supposedly the best weed comes from?

I’ve never been to California.

That is indeed the lore, and a facet of the story from what I can tell. It is also an all around beautiful, rugged place full of (imho) interesting folks.

I barely recognized him in the trailer under the scruffy beard, but Brad Dourif (of Grima Wormtongue fame, among many other things) is in it. This is a bit surreal as he has always physically reminded me of a guy I know from Southern Humboldt who lives an eerily similar life to the character that Brad seems to portray in the film.
