I saw this trailer sometime in the last six years I’m guessing. If I remember correctly it was foreign, European maybe. It seemed that aliens were invading earth from another dimension. Maybe it involved a rift in the sky? Physicists and/or astronomers were involved. that’s about all I remember.
Sounds a lot like this movie to me (in its own way, Wisconsin is about as exotically foreign as you can get):
The cheap-o budget gave it a cheezy, kind of early-'60s European SF feel as well (cf. Zontar, the Thing from Venus and Journey to the Seventh Planet).
I think they mention Canada once or twice, too (the Great Lakes, and all that). It was in fact filmed in some jerkwater northwoods town during the US Bicentennial, which will be patently obvious to you if you actually lived through the thing!
Thanks. I don’t know if those were serious responses or not.
This film was recent. The trailer was dark with a lot of night scenes.
I never joke when it comes to bad movies! :dubious:
District 9, maybe?
Errr… is The Rifttoo obvious?
I just watched the trailer and The Rift is exactly as the OP describes, so I’d say yes. Also, I’d like to change my guess.
Yep. The trailer I watched just now isn’t the same trailer but it is clearly the same film. Big thanks.
