Well, not to pick any further nits, but a) **Henry **, although he is currently living in Russia, is not Russian (and yes, I do believe that having lived in multiple cultures gives a person greater than average insight into other cultures in general, but that’s my own bias, even if it is based on many years of experience); and b) although he may disagree with some of your posts/opinions and/or some (or even most) American foreign policy behaviors, that does not necessarily make him xenophobic, or even anti-American. If you want to disagree with the content, though, by all means, knock yourself out.
Hell, I love so many things about this country, and I still disagree with about 95% of our foreign policy these days. On second thought, I guess that makes me pretty one-sided.

I’ve been down the road of trying to debate Henry before. When you counter one of his stream-of-consciousness rants with alternative facts and explanations, he blithely ignores them to continue his totally one-sided spewings (i.e. on the subject of Middle East policy).
He is similar to other ranters in the mold of Pjen, who have a determinedly “four legs good, two legs bad” worldview.
If and when he makes a substantive* argument on a subject of interest to me, showing that he has knowledge of and has weighed evidence on multiple sides, I will answer him civilly in the appropriate forum.
I am not holding my breath.

The thesis has been mainly:
1) The mass-media does not give a balanced picture of the situation in Palestine.
2) The Palestinians has the right to defend themselves in the occupied parts.
They should not kill civilians, they should hit the military and military targets.
3) Israel is occupying parts of Palestine, (on the command of the government, again, not necessary the people), they are the victims of occupation, not the other way round.
4) In any country that is occupied, it is not just a right to defend Your country or fatherland, it is Your duty. Every man and woman has this duty. And some of us has even sworn an oath about this matter. Sounds familiar?
My country (Finland) has a history of fighting Stalin, when he wanted to occupy Finland, with Molotov-coctails and what ever was at hand.
That is called patriotism. I call my father and my step-father patriots. They both had rifles, and the later a machine-gun later in the wars.
So if the Eskimos are the next victims of occupation, I am pro-Eskimo in Your eyes?
I still call the fight of any occupied people, against the oppressors, patriotism.
Hungary 1956, Checkoslowakia [sp?] 1968, etc.

You’ve consistently failed to address substantive points I’ve raised on this subject, including of course the one you brought up here.
Intelligent and reasonable people may lean to one side or another on the subject of Israel and its neighbors in the Middle East. But they recognize there is some degree of blame on both sides. People like you and december are propagandists who appear more interested in inspiring hate than in promoting understanding.
With you, one also has to wade through “Hungary 1956, Checkoslowakia [sp?] 1968”, Eskimos, Stalin, ice hockey, good factory management and God knows what else to try and comprehend what goes on in your brain. And I question whether the effort is worthwhile.
Since you do not truly engage in debate, I see no point in debating with you in the future. Occasionally a refutation of your more slanted or inaccurate statements might be called for.
