I was reading a review of the musical Caroline, or Change (the title is a pun) and, while it has excellent reviews, it immediately brought to mind a dozen other movies and TV series that have the same basic plot. Kushner has to really try hard to add anything new to the mix. Then the idea for a thread occurred: can you find enough cliche’d characters and plots to make a hyperlinked sentence fragment describing the cliche?
