Hyundai pays me to drive!

I just got my first payment: around $65. I get about four cents every thousand miles and will continue to get it for as long as I have the car. Just drop by a dealership, have them check the mileage, and they process the check.

It’s because Hyundai was bad: the gave incorrect mileage figures on their sticker and were ordered to repay anyone who bought a car while the incorrect numbers were being used.

The funny thing is that I didn’t pay any attention to the numbers on the sticker. I was using the number from Consumer Reports, which is always lower than the government figures (but it still was a good number), and have been happy with the mileage (up to 40 mpg on some trips).

Sounds like a good car too if you have gotten more than 1,625,000 miles out of it since they started the program. How long are you planning on keeping it? Drive it a few billion miles more and you will be get a decent chuck of money.

Yeah, you might want to re-check your math. Or was your check for 65 cents?

Oops. That’s what I get for using my slide rule.
