Boy am I glad I stumbled on this thread.
It was bound to happen sooner or later.

What’s that saying about blind chameleons?
This is why I love this place. Fight! Fight! Fight!
I agree; there’s no point in beating a dead horse. You have lots of fun, and besides, the horse likes it.
I’m sure it involves poor color coordination.
I have no dog in this fight, but your use of the word “continue” in that sentence seems odd and/or misplaced.
What mistake is that? Saying disparaging and condescending things about a poster? I think not. **Twickster ** has acknowledged that she GOT CAUGHT saying disparaging and condescending things.
Or are you somehow maintaining that this was the ONLY instance of a Mod privately speaking like this of any poster, ever, and Twickster would have apologized even if she hadn’t included picunurse on the e-mail, AND that the only reason she didn’t received multiple e-mails from multiple Mods chastising her for her unacceptable tone and substance here was just that she was too darned quick at catching her own error. If she hadnt instantly realized her terrible exercise of judgment, the other Mods would have been all over her, is that what you’re trying to tell us? (And NOTE: this was poor judgment, not anything “stupid”–it was rude and needlessly hostile, but **Twickster **knew exactly what point she was making about picunurse.)
I helped my Uncle Beet off a horse.
I love you.
Great, I always need these images in my head.
Well, Czarcasm being a retired mod, it’d be more like senior modding if he did it.
Yes, I think that’s far and away the most reasonable interpretation of picunurse’s posts in this thread. :dubious:
This was not a “stupid mistake”. Again, as it’s been said many times, people aren’t upset at twickster’s mistakenly forwarding the email - they are upset that she’s talking shit about posters who don’t deserve it in the first place. If Czarcasm is to be believed, and I expect he is, this is normal behaviour the mods, and not just twickster.
As yet, there is no evidence that you, or anyone else on the staff, has chastised, expressed outrage, yelled at, scolded, or berated anybody, and as the issue has not been resolved, the horse that is being kicked is still alive and neighing.
If the staff are happy with this sort of behaviour from mods, they should have the balls to say so publicly, and deal with the fallout. If they are not, they should say publicly that it’s not acceptable, and also say what is being done to deal with it.
A volunteer moderator made a semi-rude remark in private, then apologized profusely upon learning the remark had gotten back to the target. Most of us have probably been in the same situation or one much like it. No big deal.
Save the complaining for one of the many other substantive problems with SDMB moderation.
Are you honestly suggesting that moderators moderate each other’s use of the private messaging feature and e-mail? Seriously? C’mon, now - no one needs that much coddling in their online lives. If you’re all that concerned about what’s being said behind your back on the internet, this is DEFINITELY not the board for you. That’s just pathetic.
Fear not, a new race of super-moderators will soon arrive.
Still all liberals, I see.

Shodan
I’m just glad you finally showed up in this thread. We have some very important questions for you.
What board would you recommend, then?
I don’t think there’s any place you could go on the internet, and be assured that unkind words about you [behind your back] will absolutely never happen.
I’m kinda “meh”. picunurse considers the matter closed.
