Yes, but people are asking why in the hell anyone would make such a comment about picunurse in the first place, not why picunurse got copied on it. We all know the latter was an accident.
But the question on the table is not “Why did this comment get sent to picunurse?”
The question is, essentially, “What led a moderator to be so fucking nasty and dismissive (even in private) of a poster who is not only generally very friendly and polite, but who was doing precisely what the mods and admins have insisted that we do for the better part of a decade?”
That’s two nominations for Congressional Non-Answer of the Year Award that you have received in this one thread.
Mistakes were made.
Last note: I have dealt with the issue privately.
Thanks for all the support.
Under-the-table payoff. I knew it.
Jr modding much?
Edit: Darnit, beat to the punch…if only I had read a few more posts before submitting. Point still stands.
By that definition, no one’s ever jr modding.
You’ve dealt with the issue quite publicly, by opening this thread. Having called twickster out in front of the whole community, if you’ve now reached some resolution, I think you owe it to her to make that public as well.
And apparently if I had read to the end, I would have seen this. Darn my compulsive nature! (and lack of a larger edit window!)
You’ve doomed us all, Red Barchetta.
Yes, because apparently, Tuba, this has become your de facto way of solving the problems a minority of your staff causes that result in crapfests like this. Frankly, shit doesn’t roll downhill here. It rolls up to the people who can fix it…and you’re failing.
I admired you very much at one time. I don’t know what the hell is going on at Creative Loafing that allows such a clusterfuck to clog your staff, but I’m not sure that even you care anymore.
Unfortunately, I still do. I feel stupid for it, too.
With all due respect, one of the unfortunate things about this is that it undercuts the idea that posters ought to report inappropriate or misplaced posts. Because we have seen at least one instance where such a report, even when done correctly, was received with contempt.
Do the mods think that way even of so unassuming and non-problematic poster as picunurse?
Very true - I agree completely. Do you think the attitude demonstrated by the e-mail forms a good foundation for respect? I don’t. I would hope it went both ways, both from and towards the posters.
on preview - I suppose, in before the lock.

Shodan
See? This is why you need a pig. When the chipmunk comes upon the planted acorn the pig will be there to guard it. I imagine the conversation would go like this.
Chipmunk: How are things going my dear fellow? I see you have a nice tasty morsel in your immediate surroundings.
Pig: Whatcha want bitch?
C: Oh, nothing of dire importance but I did notice that succulant acorn you have there.
P: What of it punk?
C: Oh I just thought that if you had no need of such a heavenly thing that I might indulge myself of that acorn over there.
P: Oh hells nah!
Then the pig proceeds to bitch slap the chipmunk left-ways and side-ways until next Tuesday leaving the chipmunk all butt-hurt and in a hurt-locker who then slinks back off to the forest only to find the other chipmunks who were watching the whole thing go down proceed to mock and laugh at him and calling his mother all kinds of nasty things until the he loses all self-worth and commits suicide.
What Would The Big Book say?
“Easy does it.”
You people are ALL wrong. The proper phrase is “Even a wild HOG finds an acorn every now and then”. Sheesh!
Where does one find these acorn loving pigs? Cafe Society? ymmv
What’s this about a pig?
No opinions or anecdotes; yes or no only.
Never mind.
Your mother wears combat boots.
