I am getting really pissed now....

My phone is 'crossed with someone else’s. I can hear them, they can hear me. They have a couple of snotty kids who told me and my mother to ‘get off the phone, because htey were tired of listening to us’ - this while we are discussing mom’s debilitating nausea from the chemo that never seems to end.

I called the phone company and the operator listened to the brat’s mother call her friend to comlain about hearing MY conversations!! It worked out good though, because when she asked me stuff the other woman would repeat it to her friend - so there was no doubt as to the problem.
So now I am getting PISSED: its starting to mess up my internet connection!!! At any second - they will try to call someone and I will lose my connection! I reconnect and none of the pages load until they hang up!

It will be ok.

Deep breaths.

Thanks for listening.

Yeah…but does it put a crimp in your cybersex?

Hope it works out well for ya…

I had the same thing happen once. Turned out that my next door neighbor and I both had chordless phones that happened to be set to the same frequency so we picked up each other’s calls. If you have a chordless, change the frequency setting and see if your problem goes away.

Come to my house and play with my internet  I’ll let ya!

When I was little, I spent some time on a farm and everybody had what they called ‘party’ lines. A few neighbours would share a line. Different phone numbers and all, but if one household was using the line, the others had to either listen in or wait. Pain inna @ss. I can see how it would be even worse when it’s not supposed to be that way.

I remember ‘party lines’ … boy, if they had told us back then about the internet!!!

No cordless here either… Ihad this happen once a few years ago, but I could hear people next door on the CB radio (they had a tower for broadcasting). My phone is a regular old phone.

What is annoying is to be reading or typing away and realize you are disconnected.

I will call them again tomorrow and try to rush this along.

I had this happen to me once. It turned out that the phone company had given MY phone number out as a new phone number to some girls down the street. It was kinda cool though, just picking up the phone and talking to them.
It took them about a week to fix it. >:\

Lemme guess… You got them from aha.
