Her screen presence in It - Chapter 1 overwhelmed the male actors. Or it could be that’s the maturity difference between teenage girls and teenage boys. I too was glad to see her here; I wasn’t going to watch this until I recognized her face in the trailer. (Or it could be because she looks like my crush-girlfriend in high school; sigh.)

The dad also spoke about feelings of being followed and there being someone there. I think that is some other Bad Guy thing, and it had some kind of interaction with the dad that pushed him to suicide.
Yeah, he comes across like the Magneto type. Saying “THEY should be afraid”, as in “we are the superior beings, and we’re going to dominate them” is so very reminiscent of Xavier’s sometime-friend, sometime-antagonist Erik.
I thought the same thing.
Finished it last night. Like it a lot, though I wish it hadn’t ended with that cliffhanger. Really, the story only really began in that final scene.
