I Am Now Officially Wierd

Thank you elbows (if directed at me).
I get to be called brave and foolhardy in one sentence.
Do I get a medal or certificate of some sort? I would be honored to attend, but have a slight case of heartburn going on.

No but I’m close. Sometimes I like some hot sauce (Franks or stronger) on a candy bar.

Not possible. My watch battery has died. It reads 5:44 constantly.
I’m stuck in June 2015 dagnabit.

Thank you for sort of validating my experience. Chocolate and salsa/hot sauce had never crossed my mind before this. It was tasty, I will give you that.
I still blame it on the tequila, but stand by my assertion.
(Joking about the oyster stew. Should have added Maraschino cherries).

I like grapes on my pizza. Red grapes, sliced in half and scattered among bits of Italian sausage. A little dubious about the Kit-Kat/salsa combo, mostly because I am unimpressed with Tostitos salsa.

Non-food weirdness, and an exercise in group weirdness besides:

A club I’m in had an outdoor event yesterday. It rained intermittently throughout the day, and eventually rained us out, so early evening saw a handful of stalwarts, soaked to the skin, hauling soggy equipment to my truck and loading it. Everyone was exhausted, so we took a break despite the ongoing drizzle. After passing around drinks, I pulled a spray bottle from the ice chest and sprayed myself in the face with it. In response to a couple of WTF looks, I passed the bottle around, and the others tried it. All agreed that it was very refreshing.

So, I was the reason a group of people were sitting in the rain in a parking lot, spraying themselves in the face with ice water.

Then there’s peanut butter on hot dogs. None of this ketchup, mustard, relish stuff: use the finest smooth sweetened commercial peanut butter. Kraft or NoName will do fine.

There’s a place in Buffalo that lets your order various toppings for your pizza and one of the choices is M&M’s.

My wife puts a squirt of yellow mustard into the pot of pork and beans while it’s cooking. I never thought it was weird.

Sounds like a pregnancy craving to me. When I was expecting, I used to throw together some obnoxious food combos. I can remember dunking potato chips in partially melted ice cream and washing it down with non-alcoholic beer and thinking it was sublime. You couldn’t pay me to eat that now.

I know a few people who do this, including myself. Tasty. I can’t go with OP’s combo, though.

At least you have a limit.

I’ve said it before on these boards – Peeps and Budweiser do not a happy combination make.

And here I thought my ‘Spicy Tuna Raman’ was weird. Some of these combos… not even drunk me would try these!

I put sriracha on watermelon last week, it was AMAZING! I need to try it with a hotter sauce and see how it works.

My son through accident of a smushed lunch took a liking for baked beans ("Boston Baked-style) with kiwi fruit as a garnish. He made me try it.

It wasn’t unpleasant, particularly but I don’t do it myself on purpose.
My mother once made popcorn as our side to go with pork chops one night when my dad was out of town. We also once had mashed potatoes and gravy served in parfait dishes so it looked like an ice cream sundae. It was northern ontario in the 1970s. We had one channel, my dad was away a lot and she didn’t really have many friends.

Being WEIRD myself…I try stuff, and the peanut butter and pickle sandwich I have heard so much about was thoroughly ‘meh’. Not horrible, certainly not good.

I am going to have to try that. Sounds like a perfect combination.
*(And no, not to my knowledge do I have pregnancy cravings. I am a male. At least when I last checked) *

Sorry, being weird myself, but I just can’t do it.
No I can’t.
What kind of pickles? Does it matter? Maybe.
OK. depends. Maybe I will give it a try. Sometime. Perhaps.

Obviously you haven’t had 4 or 5 blue agave margaritas, then got a serious case of munchies like I did. Otherwise I would agree with you.

Peeps I can tolerate. Budweiser, not so much.
And I thought I was weird.
*Waiting to hear more about THAT experience *

Googling for boston-baked beans with kiwi drew a blank. Maybe your son is on to something.
The popcorn side-dish with pork chops has some definite possibilities.
