Yeah, Lekatt is a lying sack of shit. I laughed out loud at the absurd mistakes he made with some of his Navy stories. What was funny is that, even if true, his stupid lies didn’t even help his argument any. When caught- his stories become even more unbelievable. What a sad, small, pathetic ass-monkey. When very long time posters who carry immense respect around here are calling this poster a serial liar you have to wonder why he hasn’t been flushed yet.
** SimonX** was 100% right in every single thing he said about this toad, he just was a bit too determined. Still, being devoted to the truth and exposing a lying sack of crap is the best thing to be a bit overzealous about (if you’re going to be). We did have to chase him a bit, as he refused to stop hijacking the GD thread and come to the Pit. Someday he will post proof he now claims-- yeah right, right after OJ finds the real killers. . . .
Well Simonx, I for one want to hear his defense for the people who have openly pointed out flaws in his thinking. We had your evidence about the rosters, another poster about the CIC problems. I just want to know. I mean, he wants to fight skeptics, but trying to get people ot accept his word as the truth, but will not address these issues. This is a little annoying to me, so i can guess why you obsessed a little on it. People should be challenged on this.
OTOH, I noticed that you have posted something about a snowstorm, is this saying that what Lekatt sais about snowing in new Orleans, right after a hurrican is true?
If you go hunt down one of my earlier posts, you can note that it’s only snowed like four times in this century in New Orleans. In the middle of June or July is not one of those times.
All: I am very new to the board. However, if you gentleman would allow me to make an observation:
I gather that posting to the SDMB is somewhat like driving a car: you can cut in front of someone, flip them off, whatever – acts of rudeness you would never initiate face-to-face. The “invisible” factor.
I think the debates on this board are amazing. I just wonder they all seem to eventually end up in name-calling, cussing, and the like.
Where’s that peace-sign smiley face?
When I first examined the microfilm sent to me by the NARA I only looked through the 1957 BUPERS sections.
The BUPERS sections show those who were permanently assigned to the ship. Lekatt was not listed there.
HOWEVER, I have examined the 1958 training sections and discovered a Kenneth Kattein, (serial number 458 6869), from Tulsa, was on board for a two week training cruise Feb 2, 1958 - Feb 15, 1958. His rank was SN and he was traininng for RD.
So, Lekattwas on the USS Willette, and it did snow in Louisiana, (though, apparently not NO), while he was on DE 354. However, there was no hurricane and elf6c pointed out a number of signifigant technical inaccuracies w/ Lekatt’s story.
I apologize for saying that the muster rolls didn’t include Lekatt. That was my fault for not understanding how the things were organized. I didn’t look thoroughly enough to see that he was on board the ship for two weeks in a year other than the one he mentioned. There’s no evidence of a hurricane or any other aspect of his naval radar story.
If anyone would like I can email you a scanned copy of the page that lists Lekatt embarkement. It’s over 4 megs though.
I wish there was a button on my computer that would let me deliver an electric cattle prod type jolt online. lekatt needs therapy. Electroshock seems about right.
