Just yesterday, I was wondering if Kinkade lived in the Monterey area. My mom was telling me that during her trip there a couple of weeks back, she found the Thomas Kinkade National Archive and about died.
The manager of The Partridge Family got arrested?

Should I be embarrassed that I didn’t know who Thomas Kinkade was and I had to look him up?
“Thankful,” I think, would be more apt.
No more embarrassed than I was when I first encountered his work several years ago.
Knowing absolutely nothing about what is currently trendy in the aggressively marketed faux arts world, I saw something he did and thought “Wow, that’s pretty cool!”
Then when I became aware of the extent to which the unwashed masses had embraced him, I felt foolish.
He’s certainly had reason to drown his sorrows lately.
It made my day.
But it is probably better suited to Cafe Society, so I’ll move it there from MPSIMS.
