A friend picked it up extra-cheap. They released it as a DVD you can play with your remote and we all did it round robin. Thank goodness for infinite continues. Irritating but fun, especially the death scenes. And the amount fo work that went into making the film was amazing. Also, Don Bluth looks (looked?) like Donald Sutherland, and the reporters giving the stories about the game were trying so hard to be one of the guys in the arcade. “So, if you’re game, let’s coin up.”
Cool.
Now, beat the NES version.
Noooo way. I had headaches enough with it the first time. Too bad there wasn’t a show of all of Dirk’s deaths.
I bought it for the iPhone when it was on sale…for a buck.
Lets think about that for a second. A LASERDISK game, that consumed an unheard of TWO HUNDRED MEG…fits on my phone…for the cost of two plays of the original. (and it’s 6% of the phone’s storage)
That’s Awesome and Sad, all at the same time.
I didn’t think to count how many ways he died, but I’m not going to watch it again. If it was an average of every 4 seconds, it’d be 65.
I beat it in the Arcade bitches.
But at what cost?!?!
I got it as a download for the DSi. Just how I remember it from the arcade. Now that I have it mastered I’d love to find the actual arcade machine and play it.
