I call Shot Gun MMP

Y’all are some of of the sweetest people I’ve never met…

G’night, everybody.

OMG, TOMORROW IS THE DAY. I think I am going to puke I am so nervous…ugh :stuck_out_tongue:

Now that it is June the grief hammer has hit me again. Hard. Later this month is my birthday. Exactly a week after that is Dave’s birthday. About two weeks after that is our anniversary. And exactly two weeks after that is the day he passed away. How in the hell am I supposed to get through all of this? It’s all at least two weeks away and I already spent half the day crying both yesterday and today.

I don’t even know where to begin…

I hope all goes well April R.

Now my brief description of what I have been up to with my hobby of card magic:

I am your average layman in card magic. I learn tricks and practice my sleight of hand and show them to people. I am your definition of an amateur card magician.

The reason I bring this up is that I am subscribed to this really great card trick teacher, andyfieldmagic on YouTube. Andy Field is a guy from the UK who is a fantastic magician and actually has real-life students and also teaches us tricks and does free deck giveaways (he even shows us tricks he won’t reveal).

I just participated in a couple of his deck giveaways. Basically he will ask you to susbribe to his channel, like the video in which he is doing the giveaway, and write a comment about something (he will tell you what). The decks he gives away are really premium and everything. I rememver hin giving away ghost decks, spider decks, decks you have probably never heard of or seen. Now, if you check out his most recent video, he is giving away a deck that originally costs eight and a half pounds. that deck looks sick! It is all gold and looks royal. So I tried out for that.

Now let us hope I win! I really need a new deck of playing cards lol. My old Bicycle decks are pretty bent and everything and I just got some Pavilion cards a couple weeks ago. One of the two decks from that pack are already used quite a bit and I will warn you that if you are ever thinking about getting into card magic, you pretty much always want to go Bicycle (or some other premium/designer company). Bicycle is like your default card company. They are fairly durable and are pretty good for doing various sleights, especially Elmsley Counts and card fans, etc. which require the cards to be smooth.

[Mini-Rant]Why does everyone have to be so rough with cards. A couple people wanted to try out something and one tried to riffle shuffle them and she like bent my cards so much (after which I had to give my a deck a few riffle shuffles that were actually of decent quality to get them into shape). Today I dropped my two of diamonds and my friend picked it up in away that gave it a sharp permanent bend. There is nothing more cringing as a card magician than spectators that ruin your cards, especially if you are like me that especially tries to keep his cards in good condition.[/Mini-Rant]

Here is the link to the deck giveaway I was referring to, just in case anyone is interested in seeing the cards: Artisan Deck Review and Giveaway - Closed - YouTube

\m/_ I like metal, too.

Happy Apesiversary!!and good luck!

Drinking beer, and watching hockey. Go Blackhawks!!!1

(((((Capt))))), hope the housing stuff gets fixed!

I’m another one of the 80s rock/metal crowd, in fact I’m still doing much the same things as I did back then except perhaps a bit slower and taking a bit longer to recover. Still going to rock clubs, still seeing bands and still getting drunk and dancing like an idiot.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 70 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of ONLY 85 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse. So, it’ll be mid 90s and sunny.

Come on Apelet! Today is the day!

{{{StickyBuns}}} I wish you strength and peace over the next couple of weeks.

Ok, that’s all I got for now. I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

I was a 90’s/2000’s metal lovin’ teen. Still enjoy quite a lot of it- but that’s the one problem with the city I now live in- no decent rock/metal venues.

I keep trying to learn card tricks AU (I’m rubbish at them, but it’s fun to try), thanks for the channel recommendation- that guy’s only something like 30 miles away from me too, as it happens…

I should tell Oldest Sister about that stuff. She’ll order a case.

Good morning! Up early to a glorious 52° sunrise!! Much work will ensue today after breakfast and caffeine.

And strawberries. I need to go see the strawberry lady.

So goes my day!

Happy Wednesday!

I’m sitting in the delivery room. My stomach has mammoth sized butterflies…

Wow, I missed a lot from last night since I posted before I read this morning - shame on me!

{{{Sticky}}} - you know we’re all here for you.

{{{Apes}}} - have a happy and healthy baby!!

**BBBobbio **- I thought for sure your link would go to an ad for tampons… :stuck_out_tongue:

**Tao **- can you pick some wildflowers and stick them in a paper cup? Cheap and purdy decorations!

As for music - I never liked metal. I was a teen in the late-60s/early-70s and my record collection was dominated by Beatles, Monkees, Herman’s Hermits, Simon and Garfunkel, The Association, and similarly mellow artists. We just found a satellite channel that we love called The Coffee House - all acoustic, really nice music.

The only concert I went to as a teen featured Buffalo Springfield and Herman’s Hermits. Since then, I’ve seen Peter, Paul, and Mary, Harry Chapin, the Spinners, 3/4 of the Monkees (sans Mike), a geriatric/supplemented Paul Revere and the Raiders (only 2 originals, I think), the Association (also only 2 originals) and the Kingston Trio with only one of the original members. I’d love to see Barry Manilow in a small venue where he just sits at the piano and sings, but I don’t know if he does that. I’ve also heard that Neil Diamond does a good show, or did, but he’s probably too geezerlike by now. I’ll just listen to my old vinyl and dream of my youth…

Higgs eats cat poop. Stoopit dog. I cleaned the box first thing, but apparently Taz made a deposit shortly after and I missed it. Stoopit cat. Stoopit poop-eating dog.

Wonder when **FCD **will drag his carcass out of bed. I could be mean and sic the dog on him, but I won’t.

I may be tacky and unrefined, but that would be below the belt. <snerk>

Blurf, y’all.

I rode my bike to irk today. I’m so proud.

Push push push!

Hang in there, Sticky. Keep us updated on how you’re doing.

Good luck with everything, April. Hope Apelet arrives quickly.

Hope the housing situation clears up quickly, Cap’n.

Time to get up and at 'em.

Woo hoo!

Hugs.

GT

Happy Whinesday,

Happy 0th birthing day to baby Apes!

{{Sticks and Stones}}

Blurf and some such. Child of the 80s myself but I was into musicals didn’t really find an appreciation for heavy metal til the 90s. My play list goes from Disney to Black Sabbath to Madonna to Big n Rich to ICP to Pete Segar and Arlo Guthrie.

Forgot to say earlier, but hope the housin’ situation gets cleared up soonest Jim.

No need for snake repellent. I remove myself from snakes post haste. I wonder how good that stuff works. Most of those “natural repellents” make the thing it is meant to repel scoff as said critter goes about its bidness.

Happy Hump Day!

Another beautiful day in Merrylande.
It’s 60 degrees and sunny with a projected high of 78.
Finally Spring is here and She’s sticking around.

The day is even more beautiful in that the HFH has not returned and will be gone a while
longer. The mice and ants are gone as well.

The niece who was scheduled for her c-section on the 19th that was switched to the 9th and then the 6th is now scheduled for the 10th.
I think I’d slit the doctors throat if he was jerking me around that way.
Good luck Apes!

{{{Sticky}}}

Bobbio that link creeped me out, way too early to see that!

I repelled a copperhead from near Mrs. Plant’s (v.2.0) car with a .45. A 12 gauge would have been easier. The snake would probably have died from Mrs. Plant(v.2.0) screaming, anyway.
