As I was packing up a bunch of stuff for the big move this weekend, I came across the scrapbook in which I kept all of the newspaper articles, etc that I was mentioned in while playing basketball (and yes, I am a cheap attention grabbing junky.) I came across an article that was written after my team won a game on a last second shot I made. Needless to say, I was slightly excited and out of sorts during the interview, so it may not have been my most lucid moment. In the course of the printed part of the interview in the paper, I made references to a tsuname, This Old House, and I used the word inexorably.
What in the world was I thinking? Note to self: Practice phrases like Giving 110%, just happy to win the game, and couldn’t have done it without my teammates. Dang, anyone that read that little interview must have thought I had a screw loose.
I either practice acceptance speeches ahead of time, or just keep my mouth shut. I’ve got enough stupid things to hurry up and forget.

By the way, am I the only one getting tired of “note to self” stuff? I don’t want to start a thread on it, cuz we’ve already had threads denouncing swearing, squicking, felching, ask the anybody anything, pulling up a chair in the Pit, posting parties, etc. So an “I’m sick of notes” thread might possibly result in an “I’m sick of I’m sick of” thread. So I’ll just say it here. It’s just between the two of us. 'm kay? Hey! I’m sick of that too. If the reader doesn’t watch South Park, they won’t get it. We’re supposed to fight ignorance, not encourage obscureness. (Is that a word?)
