I Can't Get Earbuds to Stay in my Ears

I should give those a try next time I’m in the market. But in the meantime, have you fellow Weird Earhole Folk tried the foam earbuds that you squish down before you put them in your ear, and they expand a bit to form a decent seal? Just checking all the bases here.

Yet another vote for hook-over-the-ear buds … simple and effective

The hooks don’t interfere with glasses because I often wear sunglasses when I run outside.

I use MEElectronics Sport-Fi M6 Noise Isolating In-Ear Headphones with Memory Wire as in-ear monitor phones when I’m performing. The memory wire is just a bendable, shapeable section of the wire that fits over the back and top of your ear to hold them in place. They come with six sets of tips.

Even those don’t work for me, not at all. They last about two minutes before falling out, which is about 1.8 minutes longer than the regular style of earbuds. Maybe I’m just a very active listener - I like to run, clean, and dance when listening to music. I use THESE. Probably make me look a little technologically stunted, but hey, they work!

Since dumb ol’ Sony decided to stop selling their cheap headband-style earbuds, I’ve encountered this same problem. But I agree with tenacious j, when given the option of multiple rubber tips I pick one that is SMALLER than I think I need and it seems to work better.

Just one more thing that duct tape will fix.

You do know you have to push these in far enough that they seal off your ear canal, right? It’s uncomfortable at first but you get used to it fast.

If they won’t go in far enough to stay in securely you’re using tips that are too large.

Pricy but these Etymotics are absolutely fantastic for music…
