Is it me or have other people had trouble getting on OpalCat’s board tonight?
I wanted to go to chat, and I couldn’t. I was actually going to start a thread, but I’m of the paranoid variety and convinced myself it was just my computer.

I can’t access the board either but I did try all of the URLs I know that she has – seems that her server may be down.
I don’t have her pager number other wise I would do so.
I am sure that she is aware it is down and will have it up soon…
Melin email paged Opal’s cellphone just over an hour ago. I’m guessing that they’re all at the airport, since Suzeanne was (I believe) going back home tonight after her longer-than-expected stint as a house guest at their place.
No word yet, AFAIK, if Opal’s gotten back.
I tell ya, this SDMB/FFF thing has got me hooked. I can’t go a day without reading/posting at the SDMB and you can usually find me in chat while I’m doing so. ::sigh:: I think I need help.

You can download one of the IRC programs. The one I have is PIRCH98 and is free. There is mIRC, a shareware program.

Just sign on a server, go to #straightdope and you are there.

I don’t know if there is a wide spread problem, but I am suddenly unable to access things like my AOL (over TCP/IP) and a bunch of web sites.
Hmmmmm – I smell a conspiracy here

I was having problems with a lot of sites. I couldn’t even sign on to AOL via TCP/IP and after several attempts it worked.
Looks like the FFF is back up – at least for me.
Anyhow I think there were some network problems somewhere with one of the major ISPs.
I’m back on the 3FMB as well. I noticed no other problems accessing different URLs.
So this is where you guys hang out… 
Actually there were a few problems ovber here in Blightly with internet connection via TCP/IP. I dunno if it is some kind of bizarre alien kidnapping plot or just one of those things that we love so much about the web.
