Should see them trickling out in less than a month. I have a thread about upgrading my 3rd Gen i3 before and I contributed to Ellis Dee’s thread and I decided to wait for Raptor Lake and now it’s almost here. I probably won’t get the i9 but rather the i7 (will the i7 be able to do 6 GHz?). Definitely a x700 board with PCIe5 and DDR5. Probably overkill today but I always build a rig that will last for years with minimal upgrades, usually more RAM and a better video card.
My biggest concern is that I want to name my machine after the bald eagle (get it? a raptor!), “Aquila” is any eagle. “Haliaeetus” is more specific but still is more than a bald eagle. “Leucocephalus” aka white-head seems a little over-the-top.
