Update on La Stingra please.
Train her up as a guard hornet, there by protecting yourself from future hornet nastiness.
Hire her out to your firm as a security watch hornet (Backed up by actual donut munchers), nothing makes people noisy like a rampant angry hornet.
Use her to herd wild animals such as sheep or middle managment.
Hire her out to your neighbours as a baby sitter, kids dont screw with hornets and they will be in bed by 8pm or else.
If you’re worried about it being too cold for her outside, the least you could do is go outside and find her hive. Then you could bring it inside and all her little friends could be warm too, and you won’t have to worry about her dying!

As La Stingra goes, so goes this Thread. La Stingra died some time between Wednesday afternoon and Friday morning last week. Upon returning to the Office last Friday, I found her lying on her back, not moving. I tried to kid myself, rationalizing that perhaps she was just sleeping, and gave her habitat a shake. Nothing. Such a shame. It’s just another reminder of the Fleeting Nature Of Life.

Update! I’ve still got La Stingra Under Glass. If JuanitaTech doesn’t come through with some affordable solutions for La Stingra’s hereafter, I’m going to observe her mummifacation or putrification (La Stingra’s. Not JuanitaTech’s). My money is on mummification.
Take a picture and put up a memorial post. That’s the least you can do for the beloved La Stingra. May her memory live on. 
Be sure to remember to cut off her head, stuff her mouth with garlic and stake her heart. You really don’t want a vampire hornet menacing you. If you see a bat with a stinger flapping around, you’ll know it’s too late.
Perhaps you should observe La Stingra’s religious beliefs. I suggust cremation in a shrine dedicated to the Queen she surely would have died worshiping.
Surely a hive worker would be a communist, so a religious ceremony wouldn’t be appropriate at all
Bah, Would a communist have a Queen? This is clearly a case of Monarchy who is supposed to be God(dess).
I think ‘Queen’ is just the closest english translation for the hornet ruler’s title. Possibly ‘dictator’ or even ‘Supreme Comrade’ might be better 
Maybe you should keep her under glass so that future generations of hornets may visit her preserved corpse and pay their respects to her decication to the hive (I’m thinking you ought to build some sort of lenin’s tomb-like structure for this)
Or possibly you could keep a bic lighter perpetually burning in memory of the ‘unknown hornet’
This critter is quite likely a female that would have hidden through the winter and become a queen of a new hive next spring. As per my previous post drawing from Bald-faced Hornet
